Rose was born on a sunny day but that day was also filled with sadness. She was able to nurse once before her dam, who had been shot by hunters on her way to give birth, was weak. She managed to stand and allowed her foal to nurse once. The mare collapsed to the ground from the exhaustion, blood driiping from her wounds, and Rose laid down, resting her head on her dam, her neck and chest getting covered in blood.

An hour later The Cimarron herd lead mare Rain was investigating further ahead for a better grazing spot when she found the mother and foal. She took in Rose, and her mate, Spirit loved the filly's energy when she was happy. Rose was growing up happy, constantly challenging her adopted dad to races when he had free time and she made a few friends in the herd. For the 9 month old foal, life could never be better right now. Rose's herd was near a lake one day and she met Demon, a colt from a neighboring herd. They spent the day playing, and then the herds left. A year passed and the two herds rejoined at the same lake, and Rose met Demon, again. They left the herd's sight and got captured by the calvary. They spent the next 4 years there, and became mates in the process.

Rose became a broodmare in the calvary and she was pregnant with a stud there, Thor's foal but then, when she was four months pregnant, her and Demon broke out of the calvary and left that place behind. When they left, Thor followed and eventually challenged Demon for Rose and the newborn filly, his daughter Mina. Thor won, but that night, Rose took off with Mina, losing Thor thanks to a river, and is headed towards the Cimarron Herd for help.
