As a yearling he was in line to be leader of his fathers herd. He did everything he could to make his father proud. When his sister Bina was born he had to cast her out as second in command of the herd due to her "weakness" (her blind eye) the heard only consisted of strong horses. When he grew to be a strong stallion he and two others went scouting when they ran into Strider, Hidalgo imediatly stood ground and challenged him and they fought. After returning with a few cuts and scrapes Hidalgo vowed to defeat him. (more to come)
