History

Orchid was off to a rough start from the day she was born. Her mother was a sickly young mare that had never had a foal before. Something went wrong during the birth, causing Orchids mother to die. With the little filly motherless, her father went and found a mare willing to take her on as her own and left soon after the new mare took over.

The young fily that was to become known as Orchid grew up with a loving mother and a stallion who substituted as her father. She loved her new family with all her heart and couldn't imagine leaving them. But one day she was playing around in the woods and happened upon an indian tribe in a clearing. She tried to escape but she was caught. Alone and frightened, the young Orchid kept to herself until she befriended a young Paint mare named Rain. Rain showed her the ways of her tribe and became a mentor to Orchid. The two mares were inseperable until a buckskin stallion named Spirit arrived into the tribe. Orchid didn't really spend much time with him but Rain did. At first the paint mare didn't like him at all and would always complain to Orchid about him. But the more she hung out with him, the less she complained and the more she praised. Orchid could tell that Rain was drifting away from her . Then the day finally came when Spirit and Rain left the tribe together, leaving Orchid behind to wonder if she would ever see her friend again.
