[Personality:] Cedar Jr. was sweet and attentive in the beginning when Esperanza fell in love with him. However after his father died, Cedar Jr. Became hollow and mean. He didnt care about anything but keeping his herd in line, and making sure that all colts had been banned and did not attempt to return to steal his mares.

Cedar Jr. Was first born, born 2 years before his brother Strider. Cedar was the first mate and love of Esperanza. That all started when Esperanza and her mothers herd merged with Cedar Sr.'s herd, Esperanza was only 10 months old when she joined the Cimarron herd, and at that time a younger male of the Cedar bloodline was born named Strider. Cedar Sr. didnt care to raise Strider as a leader because Cedar Jr. was the first born. Cedar Jr met esperanza when she first arrived next to her mother, he was in the middle of a training session when his father was happy to allow Alma's, Esperanza's mother's, herd to stay within their herd together colts and all. Cedar Jr. Disapproved of letting the non bloodline colts stay he would rather cast them out so he wasn't risking any competition. Although he never said anything as it was not his place. Esperanza and Cedar jr. had a filly when Esperanza was 3 years of age and Cedar Jr. was 4 years of age, They were both proud parents however their  relationship fell apart when Cedar Jr. took over the herd after a overpopulated pack of wolves took down his mother and father, Strider being 3 1/2 years old stood by his brother until things got worse, It was bad enough that Cedar Jr. was a total Jock head when it came to being the leader, but to the herd mares and his brother, he crossed a line when he sent the 8 month old colts out to defend for themselves rather then let them stay and defend the herd's honor if they so chose like his father did. Esperanza in particular did not like that one bit, Cedar Jr. Threw out their daughters playmate, and best friend Fred, a chestnut leopard colt that she had found with a mare named Rishana and brought them to the herd for protection. However that same night one of the colts came back to challenge Cedar Jr., the colts name was george. George challenged Cedar for rights to one filly named Angelina, Cedar accepted the challenge and after 30 minutes of fighting Cedar Jr. had George on the ground and was pinning his head into the ground. Rishana the mare of Fred and Fred's twin brother George mourned, Esperanza had, had enough of Cedar's attitude and drew the line. She would stay the lead mare but she refused to love Cedar Jr.

One night A lightening storm arrived into the Cimarron valley and split up the herd, Cedar Jr's brother and his herd mate Esperanza were split into one direction with a few other herd mates. Cedar Jr. was standing in the middle of the meadow standing his ground, Rishana was filled with hate towards him. Cedar Jr. Noticed that she was the only one who hadnt been split from the herd and went to meet her to keep her near him. She refused to follow his order and stay near him as she hated his guts. Cedar Jr. Wanted order and began to chase her. At that moment everything snapped in Rishana and she fought back. She turned around and bit him, kicked him, struck him and without letting him catch a break to get back at her she hooved him in the jaw and the forhead. All of a sudden within the fight Cedar Jr. Backed down, and a bolt of lightening struck from the sky and onto Cedar Jr's Forelock killing him instantly. Rishana walked away to go seek shelter under the trees. 2 days passed and Rishana stayed under the trees. it wasnt long and the whole herd who didnt care about orders or following, but only cared about protection from a strong stallion, mourned him. A few days passed and Strider and Esperanza came home. Cedar Jr's body lay in the middle of the meadow completely lifeless surrounded by Herd Members, The two Seen what happend and mourned the loss of Striders brother. However Esperanza looked around for Rishana but couldnt find her until she looked at the path she takes to get to the watering hole and there was Rishana standing at the ridge over looking the entire thing. She rushed up to Rishana and asked if she was okay, to which Rishana replied, "i'm fine now that hes dead." Esperanza lowered her eyes. Rishana looked at her, "be glad i fought back." She said, Esperanza looked at her shocked, "what?" she asked, "He was chasing me i wanted nothing to do with him so i kicked him, bit him, hooved him, struck him and then the lightening took him out." Esperanza sighed with relief, "i thought you meant you might have killed him." she kind of chuckled, Rishana chuckled, "nope but i feel better now that hes dead. i have no respect for him. However Strider he will make a better stallion just like his father." Esperanza blushed, "Yeah he will." The two mars stood at the ridge over looking everything and watched one by one the herd disperse from the deceased body of Cedar Jr. Credits:
