"Many, many years ago there were four stallions that traveled across the land until they could find a territory they could share and protect. As time went on the four stallions found what they were searching for, along with mates and mares. Afraid of losing each other, the stallions decided to unite their four herds to protect the precious land that they call home. Eventually the years would pass and their foals would become leaders and the line would go on, but the herds remained to loyal and true to one another. However, as the American rail road expanded across the west, so did the uprising of the clashing of herds. Fights broke out between stallions over their mares, foals, land, and the title of leader.  In fact, The Vulcan herd, one of the four herds, would soon start a war between the united herds and stir up the peace that the founding fathers once established many years ago. The plan, that the four stallions once dreamt, of combining the herds into one is now broken and the united herds are in desperate need of peace."

Amadahy Herd

The Amadahy Herd consists of a few mares and old war stallions that live along the river that flows through the united herds land. Over the years the horses in the herd have learned to work alongside the river and heavily rely on it as a source of protection. Moab the founding stallion of the herd was originally a pack horse for a family who lived alongside the river. Not only did he help the father of the family, but was also the youngest daughter’s mount and the two shared a connection. However one day the little girl was playing near the stream and fell into it. The water was too strong for the little girl to pull herself out and when Moab heard the little girl scream he jumped in to save her. Not many horses could’ve survived the rushing water, but Moab was strong enough to get the girl and drag her back to the banks. Unfortunately, the young stallion was too late. Moab decided to leave the family after the death of his rider, thus setting him out on a journey for a new start. The horses of the Amadahy Herd know the waters around them very well and are excellent swimmers, using the waters to their advantage.


Aysu

“The Moon Spirit”

Age: Three years old. (Currently)
Breed: Mustang crossed with Arabian and unknown breed.
Details: The little mare only stands at 14.3 hands and has an ivory colored coat. Aysu’s eyes match the color of the deepest waters and has a very feminine build. She has the signature Arabian dished nose and her mane and tail is thick and long with tight curls.

Family: Moab (2x Great Grandfather; deceased), Anatu (1x Great Grandmother; deceased), Naida (Grandmother; alice), Nereus (Father; alive), Demetra (Mother; alive), Moana (Older Sister; alive)
Mate: None
Herd: Daughter of the lead stallion of the Amadahy Herd, also lives on the outskirts of the Lakotan Tribe.
Relation to Spirit: The Indians believe Aysu is the moon spirit of the world and she is the horse to keep the spirit world in balance. Rain has seen Aysu herself and has tried many times to bring Aysu to meet her people.

Personality, likes, and dislikes: Aysu still acts like a young filly with her typical “teenager” mood swings. Nereus wants Aysu to take her role in the herd more serious, like her sister Moana, but Aysu doesn’t understand why. If anything Asyu’s mind is more focused on venturing off and becoming her own free spirit. None the less, she feels as if she is stuck behind her sister’s shadow and does everything she can possibly do to be seen as her own identity to her father. Aysu is very free spirited and has no problem conversing with strangers, however she can be naïve and is very innocent. Her sweet, tad over bearing at times, and chatter box personality makes her the easiest filly to become friends with. Aysu feels the safest at night when the moon is out and her heart rests easy knowing the water is gently flowing. She loves to wonder, which tends to get her in sticky situations.

Aysu’s Story: Aysu was the second daughter born of Nereus and Demetra of the Amadahy Herd and was born right next to the biggest river in the valley. When Demetra gave birth to Aysu, both parents and the herd were surprised that the young foal looked nothing like her mother or father. As soon as Aysu could open her eyes she felt a slight connection with the water and the moon, which makes her feel safe and more in touch with emotions. As she aged her love for her mother grew, leaning on her mother for support. Unfortunately, when the Vulcan herd started to wreak havoc, the lead stallion stole Demetra from Nereus. Aysu was only a year old when Demetra was stolen from her and had a hard time coping with her mother’s disappearance. As the young filly matured her importance to the herd was stressed even more by her father , along with her knack for wandering off. However, one night Aysu had a horrible dream which caused her to go on a midnight walk. She followed a trail that stretched for miles leading her to the edge of a river with a waterfall that faced the moon. Ever since the young filly found the tucked away waterfall, Aysu visited every night especially when she felt as if her emotions were torn in two. With her mother gone, Aysu felt like nobody was there for her and relied on the moon and water to ease her spirits. One night when Aysu was visiting the waterfall she had a visitor, a little paint mare with a feather tucked behind her ear. The little mare stood in shock and Aysu was curious to know why. The mare introduced herself, known as Rain, and explained to Aysu who and what she was. The Indians believe that a white horse is a rare sight, with only one living at a time, a white horse that is painted by the moon and wanders at night is known to be the moon spirit. The moon spirit is known to keep peace and harmony and if the moon spirit were to be caught and tamed, then the world would be out of balance. Rain wanted to bring Aysu back to the tribe and show them the moon spirit was real, but Aysu was scared at the thought of the two legged and denied. Every night since then, Rain and Aysu meet at the same spot to talk and exchange stories. One day Rain hopes to gain enough of Aysu’s trust to bring her back to the tribe.
