H I S T O R Y
Like most coyote pups, Sunkamanitu grew up with only his mother. He was born in the east Nevada desert with two other siblings. His first brother died because of his frailty, and his sister was taken, scooped up by an owl and never seen again. His mother taught him closely and instructed him on the ways of the desert, making him an expert hunter. Sunka was still young while his mother mated and was to give birth to more pups when he was exiled from their pack.He survived well for the first year of his solidarity but then was with drought. It was a rough year for all that lived in the desert, and Sunka had little to eat or drink.During the drought, on the brink of death from dehydration, Sunka saw a white horse in the distance. After following his instincts and following the stallion, he was lead to water. He soon after made unlikely friends with the stallion, named Wanagi. The two travelled across the desert, coming in close encounters with the Cavalry and the Wranglers. Sunka almost shot by one of the Wranglers. During one of their visits to a nearby canyon, they witnessed Spirit and Little Creek's great leap. Per Wanagi's suggestion, they followed to two, eventually becoming polite companions with Spirit. Little Creek was still very wary of Sunka but he understood.
Relation to Spirit
Frequents the Lakota Sioux Territory, was almost shot by one of The Wranglers. He had a few "run-ins" with The Wranglers and Cavalry patrol. Met Spirit and Little Creek and became friends with Spirit.
