Wanagi grew up in a nomadic herd located in the desert near the (eventual) south west Colorado/Utah Border. His father was a rogue from a rival herd and his father and mother left to form their own herd, with Wanagi being the first born to the new herd. His mother took close care of him, guiding him and teaching him the ways of the desert. At a young age he was faced with many hardships, his Father died after becoming unaccountably ill, and a new Lead Stallion rose to the top, exiling Wanagi and his mother. It wasn't soon after that his mother passed away from depression and environmental conditions. Wanagi remained in mourning while wandering about the desert. Wandering too close to Cavalry Territory and was captured by Pete and Joe along with the other Wranglers. After escaping from Snakefinger's Pit, he galloped back to his homeland where he astoundingly made friends with a Coyote named Sunkimanitu. The two now travel together, across the the Utah/Nevada desert. He came in contact with Spirit as a witness to Spirit and Little Creek's escape through the Canyon and a witness to Spirit's Leap. He and Sunkimanitu followed the two and now stay much nearer to the Lakota Sioux village though still venture into the desert from time to time. Spirit, though wary of Sunkimanitu, became polite aquiantances.
Relation to Spirit
Frequents the Lakota Sioux Territory, was captured by Joe, Pete and The Wranglers. He had a few "run-ins" with The Wranglers and Cavalry patrol. Met Spirit and Little Creek and became friends with Spirit.
