History:

Iris was born in the cavalry, Granite being her father. She never met her mother, and thus became close to her father. Iris had a fasination with freedom and wild horses, casuing Granite to give her a disapointed look at least once a day.

Years passed, and a wild mustang was brought into the fort. The stallion, Spirit, stood up to the men who tried to break him. She watched carefully at what Spirit did, intrigued, and she vowed to one day run free. That time she had waited for came, when Spirit and Little Creek freed all the cavalry horses. 

After days of galloping she ended up running into the Cimarron Herd. She saw Spirit and thanked him for giving her a chance at freedom.

Relation to Spirit:

She was set free by Spirit and Little Creek, and lives near the Cimarron herd.
