The people that owned Kohana, his family travelled westward when he and his brother were just foals. During a Native raid on their camp, both Kohana and his brother were taken and ended in an Araphahoe village where he was raised until he was a year old. While exploring the forest with his brother, they wandered too far from the herd, he stumbled upon a group of Lakota Hunters and was taken to the same Lakota Sioux village that Sierra and Rain lived in. He didn't trust many of the other horses or humans and focused on learning things from different creatures around the village. Though he wasn't partial to the Lakota Sioux's horses and people, he opened up to them and eventually came around. After a few years of living among the people, he was trained to be ridden by Little Creek himself, along with the help of a few friends. Once his training had ceased, he began to help Little Creek out with his daily tasks and becoming helpful throughout the village. It wasn't long after that he started to recall the memories with his brother and missed that. He tried to reconnect with his brother after the two spent almost a year without talking, but they had changed too much. It wasn't long until they ended up in a fight, causing Chaytan to leave the Lakota Sioux village. Since then, Kohana has made friendships with a few horses and people. Though he is primarily Left-Brained, he does have a soft side to him. Though he usually likes to be alone, he does not mind extra company.
