History:
Loreena was born in a small herd with no leader. A few mares had banded together for support, and ruled themselves.
However, the mares were often chased down by wranglers and other stallions who saw the mares as easy targets.
After some time, a gentle stallion came along and asked if they wanted to join his herd. The mares obliged, eager for the safety of a large group. The leader’s name was Corin, and he was very kind.
The mares remained with Corin until one day a forest fire raged their homeland. Corin insisted that everyone escape, and returned into the fire to save many mares who had gotten lost. In the end, Corin passed away in the flames, sacrificing his life for the life of his herd.
Corin’s son, Tybalc took control over the herd. However, Tybalc was cruel and harsh. The group of mares who had come to the herd for safety decided to leave to avoid another horrid situation. However, in the process of leaving Tybalc caught them and was furious.
Frightened, the group of mares tried to escape but Tybalc chased down Faren, a paint mare that was friends with Loreena. Enfuriated, Loreena chased after Tybalc and demanded he leave her friend alone.
When Tybalc laughed, Loreena kicked him square in the shouler, sending him backwards with a nasty cut. While he was down, Loreena and Faren ran and joined up with the rest of the mares.
A few months after that disaster, a palomino pinto named Fiero asked them if they wanted to join his herd. The mares were hesitant, and declined his offer.
However, the mares finally gave in to the sweet stallion's offer after some disscussion, and joined his herd. They fell in love with Fiero immediately, loving the care and love he had for his herd. Everyone was like a family.
However, Loreena never felt at home with Fiero and his herd. When Faren had her first foal with the stallion, Loreena was disgusted that her friend would do such a thing, even if that was the way of herd life.
Fiero respected Loreena's decisions, and left her to her own accordings.
Eventually, Loreena talked to Fiero, detailing her desire to leave and find horses that were more like her. Fiero was upset that she would want to leave, but understood and was very willing. He let her leave, and told her she was always welcomed back if things didn't go well.
Loreena was grateful, but didn't think she would be returning. She bid farewell to Faren, but couldn't help but feel as though Faren's new decisions had caused their friendship to weaken.
Faren tried to persuade Loreena to stay, confused as to why she didn't approve of herd life. However Loreena had made up her mind, and left the next day.
She wandered, a lone mare for many months. Various herds she met offered for her to become a part of their family, but she declined. She hadn't found anyone that really connected with her.
Eventually, she stumbled across a small group of horses. They called themselves the Outclanners, and were all horses who had some reason to be there instead of in a different herd. The herd had no leader, but was a group of horses who all cared for eachother.
Loreena immediately felt at home, and spent the rest of her days with them.
Later, when Allegro joined their group, Loreena met Spirit, whom she had heard tales of from Fiero, but never met. The small group talked to the buckskin, Entarik being especially interested.
Spirit offered for them to stay with his herd once they were done helping Allegro, but the group declined.
Loreena enjoyed the time spent with the buckskin stallion, but didn't find him as impressive as she thought he would be. Overall, she saw him as being kind of flashy.
