History/Bio
< Foal/Yearling >
Not many horses in my time, born free had the misfortune to be, a gelding. But that does not make me useles or unable to be a part of a herd. Many horses wouldn't beleive what had become of me, but it is true. Yet I can still survive, I was never truly broken. I spent most of my life, running for it, and to keep a sense of freedom. And fighting for it, and for those who couldn't.
Rocky was born into a small herd. The herd had split off from another herd. They nearly died in a blizzard. If his mother hadn't taken charge, her, the herd and her unborn son could have died. But they survived. His sire had died trying to defend the herd. Most of the herd was gone. It was only him, his mother, and a few other mares. They lived out on sparse plains and sandy earth. It was tough. One day a coyote came after him leaving scars on his right side. A cougar too. If it wasn't for his mother it would have taken him. He has a scar on his left hind quarters from that one. He never met his father, but he heard about him.
Unfortunately for his mother, the herd ws rounded up to be sold to the army for the cavalry. Rocky was young, so not branded. His mother was taken from him. He only saw her occasionally going in and out of the fort. One day she didn't come back. A year or so went by, and it would be soon to train him, but one cavalry man always postponed him to be branded. He was kind to Rocky. He could never remember what the others called him but him. He called him Buck, because thats all he did, for fun, if anyone tried to get their hands on him. he bucked, he fough, he never gave up. When it was time he was gelded. They hoped it would take it out of him to buck and kick. He still had the fight for freedom in him. Only the one man could seem to ride him, and even nfeed him, everyone else e just bit, kicked and screamed at. everyone though he ws either, mean or crazy.

Until Spirit came along, he could tell he was like him. he wanted to be like him, to be brave enough to throw those people all the time. He made quik friends with Spirit. They had many things in common, both of their fathers were lost before them, they both still were determined to be free, and seperated from their family. It inspired Rocky to be even more mean and awful to the cavalry. He tried to buck people off all the time. and he had fun doing it. But like always Sgt.. Adams, that one person stood up for him and convinced everyone not to do anything with him. (He still wasn't branded) Eventually he was getting on everyones nerves.
Luckily for him, Spirit had his mind set on still throwing the colonel. And in doing so him and the two-leg he didn't know the name freed them. Sadly, for Rocky they caught up with him, and he thought he'd never find his friend Spirit. The Colonel almost shot rocky out of anger when they caught him asgain. But again Sgt. adams convinced everyone they shold send him off to be a draft horse. Everyone found that a good idea.
< Draft Horse >
he spent many days pulling brought down trees and other things with other horses, to clear the way for the train. He was quite miserable, and had no friend to help him through. Bujt he did see the most beautiful mare ever. A lovely blue roan appaloosa. Eventually the train came, he had no chance to speak to the mare.Spirit showed up too. He was so glad to see his friends. You alright, who are these guys? He met the 3 lakota horses, he liked them. They pulled, and pulled, everthing felt miserable. Until they saw some sunlight, the sun was setting. In the west. And Rocky felt somerthing. Something familiar,. .
Thats when Spirit dropped. Noo! Rocky thought him dead. The three Lakota horses stood with him. no,.. He thought as the mules dragged him off. but then he rose, and before Rocky could think, he was free. Go rocky! Spirit neighed to them.Whith who? Where! Spirit told them all to run. Rocky go with them, their good horses, just go! And he did.
