Personality

Semper Fidelis is a very calm horse that enjoys the care of his humans and the spoils that comes with it, he's always been friendly to the other horses but when it comes to it he can be rather foul and cranky often regretting his choice later on. He's slighty jumpy when it comes to certain sounds and scents

History

Being born in a cavalry base wasn't easy to live with at first, his sire often looked down on the small colt where as his dam enjoyed looking after him, it was evident from day one that he wouldn't be a good military horse to ride into battle, but none the less, he would be trained in doing so.

Years passed and it was time to start breaking in, it took more than an hour before the soldiers caught and saddled the playful, energetic young horse, as soon as he felt the bit in his mouth did he start to panic, soldier after soldier he kept throwing them off until he grew tired. It was then that the soldiers were able to jump on his back and have him obey what they wanted him to do.

As Semper Fidelis grew to the age of six though the years he started mellowing but remained to be cheeky and playful. It wasn't until this time that he was taken out for the first time on a mission, the smell of the smoke from a near by native camp made Semper Fi fidget about like a scared puppy, the older horses around him watched him and almost growled at the young stallions uneasyness. The attack on the natives was going well apart from Semper Fi's need to escape all the sounds and noise, in the mess a native had knocked his rider off giving the young stallion his chance to bolt, he came to a sudden stop when his eyes fixed on a pinto mare charging full speed at Granite and the Colonel, he watched in terror as the gun went off and the mare and her rider fell into the river. Taking a deep breath he closed his eyes and ran the other way until he couldn't run anymore.

Weeks after the attack and Semper Fi was lost, unknowing which way was back home, he lifted his head from staring at the ground as he met the cold gaze of a bay, wild stallion who's ears were almost stuck pinned against his neck, wheezing he uttered "help" to the bay who only stared at him and showed him the way to a human settlement that was untouched by the cruelty that had gone on shortly after the attack, his head lifted to the bay as he nodded and requested his name, the bay simply said "Levi" before walking away to leave the gray on his own, and with that, Semper Fi walked into the town and to the first human he saw, the human woman had recognized the brand and the saddling on Semper Fi and took him in for the night before she would return him to the local soldiers.

The next day, he was gently woken and lead out to the local military base and handed over, they willingly took him in and took care of him, he's since been a guard horse in the local area, he's resided there for four years, he's now the age of ten and a happy blue-coat guard horse.
