Personality & Appearance
Strengths: Protection and willingness
Weakness: His right blind eye and his urge over anything to protect
Fear: Meeting The Rescuers again and Spring not liking him
Persona: Kipper is your average kind and friendly boy, but he does have a flip-side to him. He has an unwilling urge to protect others, moslty females. Seeing a filly or foal being mistreated sends Kipper into an outrage which only lasts for a short period of time until he realizes what he's doing. The stallion can also get very finicky and can be paranoid at times due to his lack of sight. If anything tries to approach him from his right side he tends to snap his head out of fear. Besides Kipper's bad side, he is a very sociable and dependable stallion who you can trust your life with. With a light heart, it takes a lot to get him mad (besides mistreatment) and most of the times is a joy to be around. Many fillies find him appealing, and granted Kip can be quite a flirt, but the only filly that has a special place in his heart is Spring.
Appearance: A full white mask with a brown blotch on his lip. Light cream mane with a blue-tinted pelt that is mixed with white blotches. Stripes on his neck and head are identical on his right side, brown speckles can be random on his shoulder.. Has bite marks on his left shoulder from The Rescuers. Has a large white stripe leading over his back and only goes down half way on his right side. His mane has white stripes where the stripes on his neck and head are connected to it. Has socks on his left front leg and right back leg. Right eye is a pale blue due to blindness. (Some things may be hard to see due to shading)
Build: Average height for his age. Has a stocky, muscular build with a thick neck and braud shoulders. Legs are medium height and best for kicking, not for running.
History
Kipper was born in a small herd east of Spirit's in an isolated forest. His Sire and Dam loved him unconditionally, keeping him safe and away from danger at all times. Kip was fond of his parents, but his heart yerned for adventure in which was seemingly impossible with his parents alwaus casting a shadow over him. When Kip was a young adolescent he whispered a farewell to his aging parents and snuck out of his homeland, smelling in the fresh scent of free, open air for the first time in his life.
About a month after Kipper left his home, the young stallion ran into a small group of rogue-looking males and a few fillies. The leader, a huge pure black stallion with plenty of scars glared down at him for quite sometime before finally speaking in his deep voice. "You look like a strong, young boy. Perhaps you would like to join us. We are The Rescuers, a band of..outliers who rescue and defend females who are in distress or don't like their home." Kipper loved the idea and quickly nodded, agreeing to the only rule; To never, ever even think of leaving or trying to run away. He must stay until death. The lead stallion was adressed only with the name 'Sir'.
Time passed and Kipper quickly began to feel uneasy with what this band of horses were doing. Sir was the only one allowed to sneak into herds at night and take the fillies, but Kipper realized that many of them came back with a look of fear and hesitation in their eyes. It wasn't until one night Sir returned with a filly that had a fresh wound in her side. Kipper finally realized what was going on in this gang; Sir wasn't trying to rescue females in need, but simply wanted to capture and take females away for himself, and rounded up a few males, including Kipper, as body guards in case someone ever caught him. Sir noticed Kipper backing away and gave an eery smirk across his face. "Strike one kid, you're out." Without time to react, the large black stallion reared up over him and brought his hoof down on Kipper's face, the colt blacking out instantly.
When Kipper awoke his vision was completely gone in one side, blood covering the entire right side of his face. He cleaned himself in a nearby stream and struggled for days to find any sign of a herd. He felt foolish, stupid even for not seeing was Sir was doing, promising himself to never let another filly or foal be harmed around him. Finally, Kipper stumbled into Spirit's territory, openly greeting the lead stallion with a grateful smile. Spirit was uneasy at first, but eventaully allowed Kipper to stay in The Cimarron Herd. Kipper's eyes immediately caught sight of Spirit's adopted daughter, Spring. The colt made small attempts to friend the filly, but never tried to get close in fear she wouldn't like him. Kipper spends him days happily in The Cimarron Herd, but still has the terrible memories looming over him of the horrible events he took part in, hoping that The Rescuers would never come across Spirit's land.
