Dixie a bay mare had gotten herself pregnant by a wild stallion her owners had captured.

Dixie was taken with this red roan appaloosa bachelor and when he escaped the fence she followed after him hoping he'd feel the same way.

The stallion named Chalky, was smooth, and charming he deceived poor Dixie into starting a herd with him promising she could be the lead mare and his mate; however he lied as soon as other mares and fillies joined the group he lost interest in Dixie who was now pregnant with his first foal, and never paid much mind to her but if she tried to leave he'd stop her by threatening to kill her, and the foal she was carrying.

One night while Chalky was sleeping, Dixie ran away however she wasn't going back to Her owners fearing her punishment for leaving.

She found herself wandering hopelssly through the desert until she collasped from the heat, she was woken up by a small whinny. Dixie raised her head to find a small colt at her side it was Eldest she had given birth to him while she was blacked out. She named the little colt Eldest, and the two never left each other's side.

Dixie, and Eldest traveled together for nearly four years until they came across Spirit's homeland. The two traveled unwillingly stumbled across a stallionless herd of mares and the lead mare was in poor shape but still kicking.

Eldest quickly showed off his skills of being a leader and the herd accepted him as their new stallion.

The lead are however passed on and a another mare took her place the mare was known as Liberty and Eldest was smitten with her from day one.

Not long after Liberty was carrying Eldest's first foal a daughter that was soon to be born to them.

One afternoon while Eldest was on patrol, Spirit tried to court some of Eldest's mares while he was away even though he was unsuccessful.

As Eldest returned he caught the mustang trying to court his pregnant Liberty.

Outraged roan appaloosa conducted a attack on Spirit suffered a brutal kick to the ribs, and neck and decided to back off Spirit eventually did back down from the rival stallion and Eldest got to keep his mares.

But still Eldest was ticked and all he wanted was revenge to make Spirit suffer!
