Bio:
Kopa was born in a forest with his mother. Being the first and only horse he saw, he instantly loved her. The two didn't live in a herd, they were on their own. But this was fine with Kopa, he didn't know what a herd was. All he knew was that he had a mother and he loved her. Kopa's mother taught him many things and they would go to many places. She would teach him what was safe to eat or not, what to do if he was seperated from her, and all sorts of things. Kopa lived happily with his mother... But not for long...
One summer day, when Kopa's mother was taking him to a place she called Lily valley, everything changed for Kopa. Kopa was listening to his mother describing the valley, it seemed like the best place in history! She said that in the middle of the day, the sun would reflect off a body of water and make everything shine. There were Lilies everywhere, apple trees and a waterfall too. Kopa couldn't wait to get there, little did Kopa know that his life was in danger. When night time fell upon the two, Kopa's mother decided it was time to stop and rest. Kopa curl up next to his mother, thinking of how wonderful Lily valley was going to be. Later that night, Kopa awoke to the sound of crackling branches. Something was out there! He whispered to his mother to get up, when she finally did, another sound came from the forest. Before Kopa's mother could tell him to run, two wolves leaped out from the bushes. They were trying to get to Kopa, but Kopa's mother wouldn't let that happen. She fought with the wolves viciously, doing everything she could to protect Kopa. She screamed for him to run, terrified, Kopa scrambled away as fast as his legs could take him. Not looking back, he ran until he found a cave, where he hid in for the rest of the night. When morning came, he stayed at the cave, expecting his mother to come find him. Kopa waited for what seemed hours, she should have there by then. Finally, Kopa went back to the place where he last saw her. When he arrived at the site of the attack, he saw his mother lying on the ground. Kopa rushed forward, happy to see his mother. But as he got closer, he saw deep wounds and gashes on his mothers body. Kopa was mortified, he didn't know what happened to her. Kopa cryed for his mother to wake up, he just didn't understand that his mother was gone, forever...
When Kopa finally left his mother's side, he had to survive on his own. Using the lessons his mother taught him, Kopa survived for two years and ten months on his own. Kopa was careful and aware of himself ever since the wolve attack, staying as far away from predators as possible. The lost of his mother, however, took its toll. After several years of baring a broken heart, Kopa wonder what was the point of going on. Kopa decided it wasn't worth living anymore, so he found a spot under a tree and waited for death to fall upon him. However, around evening time, he was awoken by a buck skin stallion over him. The stallion demanded why Kopa was resting in his territory. For a moment, Kopa didn't know what to say or think. He'd never seen another horse besides his mother before. When the stallion questioned him again, Kopa said that he was waiting for death. This took the stallion by surprised, he didn't know what to think from this remark. The stallion then asked if he had a herd or home. Kopa slowly shook his head no. Taking sympathy on Kopa, the stallion asked if he would like to delay death for a while and come join his herd, the Cimarron herd. Kopa looked up to the stallions face, he hadn't seen such caring and hope in a very long time. It reminded him of his mother. Kopa decided that maybe this stallion and his herd had something to offer. Kopa accepted the stallion's offer and followed him back to his herd. Learning that the stallion's name was Spirit.
In the Cimarron herd, Kopa was amazed and bewildered by everyone. He had never seen so many horses in his life! Kopa soon learned that Spirit was the leader of all the horses here, along with is beautiful mate Rain. Kopa had never seen such a beautiful mare before. Immediately after laying eyes on her, he formed a crush. But Kopa's hope of being with her were dashed when he saw the daughter of Spirit and Rain. However, the little filly ran right up to Kopa, looking at him with a big smile on her face. Kopa couldn't help but melt for the little filly, she asked him to play with her, and he couldn't say no. Kopa played with the filly for what seemed like hours, enjoying every moment with her. Eventually, a few more foals hoped in the fun. Kopa ran and ran with all the foals, showing them what his mother had shown him. Kopa started to feel protective over all the foals, feeling love and joy returning to his heart. After playing with the foals, Kopa knew that this was where he was ment to be.
Kopa lived in the Cimarron Herd for a long time, mostly filling in the role of foal watcher. Kopa still had a bit of a crush on rain, but it didn't really matter anymore. However, fate was going to be cruel to Kopa. During a stormy day, the Cimarron herd gathered rather close to a forest near them. The rain pelted everyones coats, causing for the foals to winnie. Kopa tried to shelter the foals, but there was to many to protect at once. Kopa looked to the forest, where the trees were blocking the rain. Kopa took the foals into the forest in an attempt to protect them more. Then all the sudden, a loud CRACK sounded through the air, a lightning bolt had struck one of the tree tops. Before Kopa could realize the danger they were in, a rapid fire spreaded throught the forest! Desperate, Kopa moved the foals through the forest as fast as he could. But the fire was growing more intense, blocking the entrance to the plains . Kopa, terrified, grabbed each of the foals and threw them out of the forest to safety. However, when the last foal was thrown, the entrance completely collasped. Kopa was forced to run deeper into the forest, fire spreading everywhere. Kopa almost choked on all the smoke, his skinned felt as if it would fall off. Then all the sudden, Kopa felt himself falling into a rapid river, carrying him far away...
