History/Bio

Soot was born into the cavalry. Deep in the night. All she can remeber as far back as possible was someone saying "Her name should be Soot,.." She was certain it wasn't her mother. Then as she grew,..she noticed she was,...Differtent. But it wasn't really her. It was her mother. She was not very close with her. Burn was bred to Granite. They were not mates. Just a brood mares. Burn was not so attatched or bonded with Soot. Soot wondered if there was something wrong with her, they rarely Spoke,..then Spirit came. Something New! Nothing new ever really came to the base but new horses,.and not too often. And spirit was intresting. It's not like she ever had anything to do. It's not like Granite ever talked to her or anything. He was busy anyway.

Then,..she saw what Spirit could do,..he could stand up to the humans! He could defy them! He had something else,..the Cavalry men called it wild,..Soot called it,....Freedom,..he had it,..and she wanted it too. Spirit became her hero,.but she was too afraid to speak to him. But she watched him. Even when he threw the colone'l! Then he set all the horses free,..and something strange happened,..she felt something,...that and her mother had smiled,..she'd never done that before.

Then Soot knew what this feeling was,.Freedom,...then she saw Flat ground,...go out and out and out,..and far away mountains,......Cavalry horses got to see these things,..Soot had never been outside the base. Then the feeling disapeared,...Her mother stopped. Wich meant soot had to stop. The other horses wher far away now. "Why have we stopped?" "Soot, I am leaving You." 

"What,..why,..why are you,.."

"Do not ask Why! I do not love you, I am sorry, You have to take care of yourself!"
