Likes: Peter likes to feel loved by a mare, the sunshine on his back, the cool night breeze, the stars in the sky, the feeling of grass and earth under his hooves, the moonlight, foals, strong-willed mares and feeling the wind through his mane.

Dislikes: Threatening storms, foals or mares in danger, blizzards, bitter climates, snakes, being stuck in mud, lightning, anything threatening and human beings.

Personality: Peter is a high spirited stallion with a wild heart. He is strong hearted and brave, always risking his life to help others. He has flaws though, and hates to admit them. He has a bad temper which he keeps at bay, and which he never shows. Peter has a soft spot for mares, but especially foals. He will spend most of his hours enjoying the sunlight on his back, or just spending time alone. He has a shy side, though it it hard to believe. Most horses, rather it be young or old, respect the stallion for who he is. He is very polite to mares, and treats them with respect and kindness.

History:

Peter was born in the dead of night. The moon was full and bright as his mother nudged her new-born son. The mares around her seemed to doze in content, and a large stallion stood watchfully near by. The night was quiet and cool as the mare gazed at her foal. Peter stared at his mother, wonder in his eyes as he gazed at the world around him.
Weeks later, Peter was playing the other foals, who were born around the same time as he. He had remembered this part of his foal-hood well, despite the stallion being strict and annoyed every time the foals got in his way.
As Peter grew, he noticed the stallion seemed to dislike him. He ignored the fact that his father seemed to send piercing glares his way every few moments. The day came when the stallion rounded up all of his sons and casted them out-including Peter.
Peter felt upset and raged as the stallion bared his teeth and pinned his ears back, running the foals off of his land. His mothers sad expression was the last thing he saw before running into the woods.
When the stallion stopped Peter near the other side of the dense woods, he sent him a death glare.
"I don't want you ever to set foot on my land in your lifetime," he hissed, his ears pinned and teeth bared. "Now get out of my sight before I kill you."
The words brought fear to Peter's heart, but he stood up straighter and glared harshly at the stallion who had sired him. With one last glance, he turned and galloped off into the cold.

Years later, Peter had experienced more than he wished in a lifetime. He wandered the vast lands, feeling loneliness in his aching heart.
On a day that that temperatures rose and the air was humid, Peter wandered along a stream bed.  The water cooled his parched throat as he bent his head to drink, and the sound of the water running across rocks soothed him. As he wandered on, a figure loomed in the distance. He approached cautiously, not sure rather it was danger or not. When he came closer, he realized the figure to be a beautiful mare, her mane shining in the sunlight as she drank from the creek.
Slowly, Peter approached her.
"Good afternoon," he said politely.
The mares head shot up and she narrowed her eyes. Peter got the impression she was not at all happy he interrupted her. Still, he stared at her, drawn to her beauty.
"It is rather hot, don't you think?" Peter spoke.
Still, the mare stared up at him, frowning. "Who are you, and what do you want?" she finally asked, her voice holding a hint of annoyance.
"I am, Peter," Peter told her.
The mares expression stayed the same, but a little bit of the anger subsided. "I am Ellesméra."
"It is a pleasure to meet you, Ellesméra."
The mare seemed to be surprised by how polite he was, or so Peter thought. He offered a slight smile to her, hoping to ease the tension.
"Well, I shall be on my way," Peter spoke suddenly. He nodded a farewell before turning and leaving the mare to stare after him.
Days passed on end. Peter could only think about Ellesméra's green eyes and her beautiful face. He frowned and let a haze take him as he walked further on.
A solid week passed. Though Peter had not forgotten the mare, he tried not to think of her. As he rested near a shallow brook, he heard the sudden shrill neigh of a horse. He quickly galloped to where he had heard it and slowed as he rounded the corner.
As soon as Peter caught sight of a familiar mare fighting off a hungry pack of wolfs, he raced in to help her. Together, the two fought off the wolfs, their snarling growing more vicious. Peter and the mare ran the rest of the pack off, before turning to face each other.
"I had that under control," Ellesméra said angrily.
"I was only helping," Peter told her.
Ellesméra's gaze softened. "It's a surprise that we ran into one another."
"Yes, it is..." Peter trailed off, and gazed into her green eyes, searching them. He wondered of they would part again, but for now, he decided to wait and see.

Peter and Ellesméra grew close, and grew to trust in each other. They traveled through vast land, and ran into the Cimarron herd. They did not stay, but passed through after meeting Spirit, who offered them a place to stay for the night.
Peter grew to love Ellesméra deeply, and never treated her with disrespect. In fact, he had a deep respect for her.
As Peter watched an eagle soar through the sky, he wondered what the future would hold. As the wind blew through his thick mane, he knew anything was possible.
