History/Bio

Rosa was born in the cimmaron herd,,

Rosa currently lives in the Long River Herd. She is sister to Bajo,..and is not aware.

Herd Life

Rosa lived peacefully in Spirits herd for a long time. Ubtil she overheard some mares talking about how her mother hadn't always been in his herd. Rosa wondred if she could find out more,..If they wre in another herd before she was born,....a lot of things could be possible. She was a smart horse. Yet she was stumpted. From what she had heard,..her mother was highly independant and worked a lead mare and stalliuon.  That she could beleive,....but still nothing about a past herd stallion. So finally she confronted her mother. "Mother,...I have something to ask you." Sunny stopped her grazing. When her daughter said that she knew it was serious, when it was almost nothing she just went ahead and said the question. "Yes,..what is it? something bothering you?" She answered.

"Well, actually yes. I have been hearing,.. that you and some others were once in a different,.....herd,...but no stallion,....mother,..was there ,...a stallion before?"

Her mother was silent. rosa was shocked even if it was serious her mother would laugh warmily and explain. But she was silent. Rosa felt sick,..Why wouldn't she say something?! She ran away,...and kept running. Her mother would think she'd be coming back,....Maybe her father wasn't even Spirit,...maybe her mother did not even know who it was,..maybe she was adopted! But if Spirit wasn't her Sire,...She didn't want to think about it.

Current history

Rosa found the long river Herd,..and took refuge there trying to forget her past and the possible worries. Then,..a storm came. While she was with the herd. They took shelter among eachother, and were safe. That night, she had a dream of some many trees and leaves all lovely colors of red and brown, much like her coat. In the morning, she decided to take a walk and explore the riverside, as she did, she saw a lump of wet fur,..but not just any wet fur,..a FOAL! She ran up to it. She was soaked and wet,..and very young. her rib cage moved feebly. She was still brething. She followed her instincts and licked her dry. "Fallen leaf " she thought. You are my Fallen Leaf." Then she called for help. Everyone was suprised to see her, the wet half drowned foal. From then on she lives in The Long river herd, and takes care of Fallen leaf, Rosa is at peace now, she's not angry with her mother or Spirit, and now fights to defend Spirit and The long river herd, and help it grow. Rosa still worries though,..After an attack from Draven. Fallen leaf almost got hurt. She does not want it to happen again. She begins to wonder why the herds fiught so much, so she asks Luck's Star to explain, and Rosa understands now.Then she realizes she is in foal(Pregnant),..no wonder she was so worried, and protective. Lucky Star would be so happy!

Then a few months passed, and the bherd had grown,..and so had the foal within Rosa. Then the day came. The river was low and slow, the wind was steady. No danger was aparent. And Rosa went into labor, behind some boshes , not too close to the river, (or the shadow woods.Trust the shadow woods horses too attack a mare in labor!) She was safe,..and so were her ,........Foals! Rosa had had twins. One filly, alike herself. She had wondered why it had taken so long.  Then there was a colt,..one almost exactly like, Lucky Star! She named the filly Ramona. And her son Fortuno, she decided he needed a lucky name. It was still early morning. Most mares spend maybe weeks with ther new foals alone a while, but then Rosa decided to bring them right back to the herd. It would not be safe, Acheron might show up. Or Draven,..or April. But no, she was going to bring them back,..to the herd to Lucky star, to Fallen leaf,..They would be happy. A couple hours after they both stood for the first time, they walked to the her. It was dawn. Lucky star had just woken up. He was suorised to see them. "Two foals,.."Everyone repeated, again and again. Twins were rare, it was even rareer that both survived being born. Fortuno was a little small for his size, because he was the smaller twin, but he would fill up and you'd never know it. Lucky star was proud. He lookec so much like Luck's star. "I should've named you Reflection, because you look like Lucky star's reflection in the river!" Rosa told him. The two were proud of the foals.
