BIO: Socrates was kind and gentle, and no one thought otherwise. He was brilliant with the other foals, often helping them to run, and teaching them what to do in case they were in any danger. One mare named Symphony had been watching him for a while, and he'd been watching her. She was the most beautiful mare in the herd, with a long flowing mane, and an even and smooth coat. Soon they were introduced, and they became very close, often spending long runs together, and frequent grazing with each other. It was obvious they were in love.
Socrates wanted to protect his new mate, so he kept look out. Not much ever happened, apart from the ocasinal cougar. Then the fateful day occured. One dusk, there were strange lights and strange horses marching towards the herd. Symphony was frightened, so Socrates told her to run on ahead, with his mother. A little reluctanat on leaving him, she needed convincing. Socrates shoved her forward, then brayed, heading straight for the strange lights. He was blinded by them, and he felt coils around his neck-ropes.
He'd been captured.
As he was such a stockily built horse, he became the colonels. Socrates didn't bother escaping. He knew the herd would be miles away now.
A few years later, and Socrates got old. He wasn't as fast as the new stallions coming in, and soon he was replaces. The colonel didn't shoot him, however, because he'd been such a loyal horse, and was still strong so he could pull carts and things. Socrates, however, was onley and grumpy. he snapped and he snarled. He was bitteer, and no horse bothered befriending him. He still longed and ached for Symphony, and every night, when the horses were asleep, he looked up at the sky, and said: #Stars; guide my Symphony to saftey.'
