+Detailed Stuff+
Personality; Kind // Brave // Gentle // Stubborn // Sensitive // Shy // Bitter //Loyal
Kind; Dreams is very kind. She likes to make everyone feel welcome and safe, and will do anything to make someone/some horse’s day a good one. She is also very good when it comes to a crisis and many come to talk to her when they need to know they are being listened to and get advice from a sweet tongue.
Brave; Dream Catcher is very brave, and she doesn’t let her ‘disability’ stop her from protecting others she cares about. She will happily throw herself into the mists of danger for her loved ones and friends.
Gentle; Dream Catcher is very gentle when it comes to foals and others smaller then her.
Stubborn; Catch is very stubborn. Sense she is blind, many try and treat her like she is a weak foal, and it annoys her beyond belief. Because of her no-sight also, she refuses to let anyone stop her from doing what she wants and stubbornly protests when she is treated different from others.
Sensitive; She is very sensitive because of her being blind side, and you can easily trigger an emotion in her. Sense she was also highly bullied as a foal, talking about her blindness easily gets to her, and it can cause two reactions, either she becomes horrible depressed and won’t speak to you, or she will become in raged and then attack you with a carefully worded verbal assault.
Shy; Like mentioned before, Dream was bullied as a foal, and many thought her a freak when she was growing up. She had no friends and sense she wasn’t wanted with others her age, she naturally became shy and timid, not very social to any around her unless she trusted them with all her heart.
Bitter; D.C.’s blind side was always her worst nightmare and many times, she wished she wasn’t blind and had been born normal. More than once, she has thought of just ending this dark world around her and give into her bitterness. When she does get mad, she blames her blindness and gets bitter at herself, often screaming at herself for why she is blind and why she had been born this way…
Loyal; Dream Catcher is beyond loyal to anyone who can earn her trust. She will do anything that is asked of her from the ones she trusts, and will willingly throw herself between her friend/loved one and danger without a thought.

History; Before Birth // After Birth // Foal Times // Filly Steps // Young Adult Quests // Now!
Before Birth; It was Spring time again and Dreams Fly was just another mare in her tribe, belonging to a common villager named Blue Jay. He was a good owner and treated her nicely. The last thing the brown mare expected was the Chief’s own stud, White Wind, to come up to her and ask her to take a walk with him. Within that day, Fly was in dead love with him, and him, her. Before long, they were mates. They were like two blades of grass in a meadow, always knowing what the other was doing and feeling. Not shortly after Dreams Fly’s dream of becoming a stallion’s happened, she found herself expecting a foal, and in her delight, raced to White Wind, and told him, not noticing the weird tiredness to her mate’s stride in her delight… Days later, Blue Jay came to his mare, having noticed the love connection his mare had with Chief Dark Feather’s stallion, White Wind… His news was grave. White Wind had died from an unknown sickness. Dreams Fly was horrified and in her despair, ran away from the tribe. She quickly got lost. She tried to find the tribe after she grieved, but was unable to find them. She than stumbled into a herd land, and the herd took her in without much hesitation. It was a small herd, led by a stallion named Flashing. It contained three mares, his lead Mare, Dawn and two others, Bridal and Wild Flower. It was in this herd that Dreams Fly gave birth to her daughter.
After Birth; Dream Catcher was a weak and sickly foal when she was born, and no one knew why. She was not able to stand up as quickly as a normal foal, and her mother was afraid she was going to lose her only foal with her beloved White Wind, but luckily, with a little encouraging from her mother and the other mares, the small, fragile female foal was able to stand, and therefore, drink milk from her mother. Dream Catcher’s name was picked out from her mother’s first part of her name, Dream, and remembering White Wind saying his mother had been named Snow Catcher, she gave her daughter a second part of her name, Catcher. At first, no one suspected anything, not noticing the weird haze over the foal’s eyes until one day when Dream Catcher was playing, that she didn’t see the cliff, and if it had not been for Flashing, would have fallen. It was then that they realized the haze and that the little foal had been born blind. Dreams Fly was beside herself, afraid her daughter would surely perish, but Flashing calmed her down and told her that Dream Catcher would be fine.
Foal Times; Being the only foal in the tiny herd, Dream Catcher found other ways to entertain herself, while staying close to the herd. She quickly learned how to use her sense of smell and earing to replace her eyes, and with the grown-ups’ help, was able to picture things in her mind. It was weird though, in her dreams, she could see everything, but in the waking world, she was unable to see, it confused the young foal and she found herself asking her mother what it meant, but her mother didn’t know. After accepting it was just her different gift, the foal found her life happy and full of adventure. Then, one day, these weird noises came and suddenly Flashing was yelling for them to run. In her desperation to obey and run away, Dream Catcher took off, but with the weird shrieks and thundering hooves, the blind foal was unable to follow her family, and not wanting to lose her foal, Dreams Fly ran back to her, only allowing the Indians to capture both mother and foal. They were took back to a new village of another tribe than Dream Fly’s birth tribe. It was there that they met Rain. The young mare became a role model for Dreams Catcher, and she quickly took on a lot of things Rain did, often playing with Rain, the other older horses, the Indians, and her favorite, Rain’s owner, Little Creek. It was there, also, that Dream Catcher met her tormentors, the foals named Bucker, Quick Trail, and Victory. These three young males made it their mission to make the blind foal’s life a horror when she was alone. They constantly picked on her, and Dreams took it, allowing them to bite at her, push her around and call her worthless. She often ran to her mother or Rain crying afterwards…
Filly Steps; Dream Catcher grew up in the Lakota Tribe with Rain, her mother, the Tribe horses, Little Creek, and the other Indians. When she was 2 years old, she was gave an owner by the name of Dove Wing, a beautiful girl, her mother told her. Dove and Dreams became close as owner and horse, and went everywhere together. Shockingly, Dove Wing never painted on Dreams Catcher, saying she was already unique in her own way. Her beautiful eyes. Dove Wing didn’t see the filly’s eyes as a curse, but rather a blessing, saying she had the luckiest horse in the Tribe and made Dreams Catcher feel special instead of worthless. Dove called her Dreamer, which was close enough to her real name. She loved her owner and they often raced along, Dove warning her and explaining the land scrape to her horse so Dream Catcher could imagine it, for the girl believed her horse could imagine what the girl seen and Dream Catcher was glade she did this. One day though, Little Creek went missing and Rain beside herself with the disappearance of her owner. Dream Catcher often found herself comforting the distressed mare, and Dream Catcher found herself also looking for Little Creek with Rain. One day, they were close to the Calvary fort when Dream’s sensitive ears picked up a commotion. In curiosity, both filly and mare found themselves walking closer to the fort. They then both herd Little Creek’s whistle for Rain, and the mare took off at once. In happiness for her friend, Dream Catcher ran back to the tribe to tell they had found Little Creek. Shortly later, they returned, with a new arrival. Dream Catcher knew this at once, being able to smell the stallion. Her mother explained he was a mustang with a handsome buckskin coat. She also said that Rain seemed to take to the stallion. Before Dream Catcher knew it, Rain and Spirit were in love, and Dreams couldn’t be happier for her friend, but she just couldn’t find in her heart to invite Spirit in, for reasons still unknown to even her… Then one day, the village was attacked by the Calvary. Dove Wing and Dream Catcher tried to fight for their village, but was quickly overthrown. Then, before Dreams knew it, Dove Wing had been shot, and the little girl fell from the filly’s back. Dreams was horrified and shocked. The Calvary man that had shot her beloved girl then tried to take Dream Catcher, but in her blinding rage, the filly knocked the man from his saddle, and unknown to her, hit his head on a rock, dying from contact… Dream Catcher stayed beside her little girl long after the village had been left by the Calvary, and no one could move her… Finally, she was forced to accept the death of her owner, and in her pain, left the village, wanting to never stay there again…
Young Adult Quests; As a young adult, Dream Catcher traveled around, staying in herds only for a short time, unable to settle down for more than a month, she just couldn’t stand being different and not being accepted. As she traveled, she longed for a herd that wouldn’t treat her different and for a stallion that would treat her like any other mare in his herd, instead of like a defenseless foal. After a while though, Dream Catcher found herself stumbling once again onto the Lakota village, where she was greeted by her mother. The two talked happily, and Dream Catcher quickly found out she was going to be a big sister to a new foal. The mare was delighted, and helped her mother pick out a name that suited either a female or male. Flying Wind, having both been split from Dream Catcher’s own parents. After a bit though, a stallion was calling Dream Fly’s name and the mare had to leave her daughter to go to her new mate. That is when they showed up, the boys that had made Dream Catcher’s foal days so horrible in the Lakota tribe. They thought they could still push her around, but quickly found that after losing her owner and having to survive the wild had toughed the mare quite a bit. She ended up chasing them off, all of them supporting wounds. Dream Catcher was beyond happy at finally showing them she was not the unconfident female she had been before. But even with finding out she was to be a big half-sister, and showing the males they couldn’t push her around, the mare just couldn’t find herself to stay in the tribe, and struck out once again.
For a long time, she moved around, no herd wanting her because she was blind and thought she would slow them down, and she just decided to ignore their stubbornness. One day, though, that changed when she ran into a stallion and his herd. She had been led to a valley by the promising scents of grass, not noticing the scent of horses, her need for grass in the cold winter driving her on. It was there that she ran into Therefore and his herd, The Sunset herd. At first, she went to flee, but was cornered by the stallion. He didn’t smell like a normal stallion. He didn’t reek of wanting power and mares, but rather was a pleasant smell of kindness. She finally allowed him to talk to her, but not before she gave him a couple wounds for not leaving her alone, and was shocked when he asked her to join. At first, the timid mare was nervous and didn’t know what to do, and it had to have been his scent that had made her mind up. She joined, and slowly, somehow, worked her way up in rank until she found herself lead mare….
One day while Dream was doing her normal patrolling, she found two foals close to death and their scent was sour with blood, so the mare knew they were hurt. She quickly took them back to the herd and helped them recover. She asked what their names were and they told her they didn't know... They also said they also didn't remember anything other then waking up in a burnt forest, wounded and hurt... So, after a bit, Dream decided to name them, asking what they looked like, and they told her. She ended up naming the male 'Oak' and the female 'Sunny Glade' from their descriptions.
Now!; Dream Catcher now runs the herd with a strict, but kind, authority at Therefore’s side. She is one a herd member knows they can come to if they need a shoulder to cry against in hard times and she has a gentle tongue to all that need it. She tries to be as nice to all the members, but sometimes she can become mean. She doesn’t even think once when she senses a stallion trying to steal a mare and will jump into action at once if Therefore is busy. She is one the herd knows they can trust to get them out a tight spot, and after so much loss, Dreams makes sure she will protect every single horse in the herd. She also puts some time into hanging with Sunny Glade and Oak whenever she can, becoming like a big adopted sister to them.

Based off; The inspiration of this strong little girl I met that was blind her whole life, but she told me she did have dreams where she COULD see, you are a true rebel sweet-heart! ;)
First came up with idea; After I met the little girl, we started talking about horses and she told me she loved the strong blind horses that she met and also stood strong, and I asked her if it was ok if I came up with a horse representing her rebel spirit, and she said she would be honored :)
