History
Foal years
The first thing I remember is being nudged to my hooves. I fell over onto my side quiet a few times before I gained my balance. Even so, I still had trouble walking. The next thing I remember is looking in the kind, gentle eyes of my mother. Suddenly, fear showed in her eyes. She looked into the distance, and I instantly knew something was wrong. "Run, Paytah! Run!" I stood, looking confused. She gave me a shove, which sent me tumbling. " I said run!" I finally found my feet, and I began galloping, as fast as I could. I heard mother yelling behind me, "Don't look back! Keep run-" A loud bang. A Squeal. Darkness.
I feel a sharp pain in my leg. My eyes flutter open, revealing the...the...Thing, standing above me. It mumbled some words I didn't understand, but I felt comforted by the soft voice. It stroked my small, skinny neck. I looked around, as my tummy rumbled. "Mother!" I whinny, but I can't see her. I start to panic. "Mother! Mother!" I repeat, and I try to get up. But the thing holds me down, speaking the unknown language. I shake my head, and whinny in fear. "Mother, where are you?!" I yell, and then I enter darkness again.
When I wake up, I am in a pen with a stallion. He looks at me with interest, but keeps his distance. "Are you feeling okay, little one?" He asks, concern showing in his deep brown eyes.
"I want my mother! Do you know where she is?" I ask hopefully.
The stallion gives me a weak smile, And just shakes his head.
Yearling
The stallion teaches me everything he knows, letting me know I can trust the humans, and that if I respect them, they will respect me. And that's what happens. This weird human, "Little Creek" is what he's called, has come to the pen every day, and just observed me. Little did I know, that he would soon be the one who would ride me into war one day...
