Personality: Birkita is a very timid young mare with some emotional inblanace in her life. She believes she doesn't deserve to be loved based on her fathers harsh words to her and will continue to believe that until some sweet, gentle, understanding stallion proves to her different.

History: Birkita's life started out very rough when her mother died right away after her birth. Her abusive father blamed this on the newborn filly and refused to accept her as his child. When Svadilfari left to announce the death of his mate to the herd, the hour old filly followed him very unsteadily. Suprised to see that she followed, the russian arabian stallion struck her down with a single blow and left the frail filly in a little pile at his feet. All of the mares rejected the filly, but Svadilfari's mother, Sablansliva, who had recently lost her last foal. As Birkita grew into a beautiful young mare, her father told her not to expect any stallion to want her as his mate because she didn't deserve to be loved. One night when Birkita awoke her adoptive mother to tell her that she was running away so she wouldn't have to deal with the abuse from her father anymore. Sablansliva readily agreed. Kita bid farewell to her "mother" as she fled to the east. Over the next two days the 2 year old travelled untl she came across a herd of horses with a buckskin leader. She was greeted with open arms by the stallion, Spirit, his mate, Rain , and their very handsome son named Beauregard. Birkita loved living in the cimarron herd with the kind horses. After a time Birkita and Beauregard fell in love becoming mates, and leaving the herd behind. But disaster hit Birkita when a enraged black stallion attacked and killed her love for no apparent reason. Come to find out the stallion was a retriever for her fathers herd and took Kita back to the place she had always wanted to run from, turning Birkita's world upside down. Kita was even more upsetwhen she found that her father had killed her "mother" for letting Birkita escape.

Now Birkita is still in that horrible herd wating for a brave stallion to rescue her and the others from the stallion of Hell.

Reltion to Spirit: Stayed in the herd for a few months and fell in love with Spirit ad Rain's son.
