Personality: Boisterous and open, Io is a fun and energetic mare. She is the opposite of her sister, Fawn, and loves to meet new horses. She humorous and loves to make others laugh.

History:

Io was born a year after her older sister, Fawn. She was the last born of the foals that Spring, and despite being the youngest and smallest, was the most popular among the foals. She was fun and energetic, and made anyone around her feel happy. Her, father, Strider, loved to spend time with her, taking her all around the land and playing with her. She got into all sorts of mischief, despite Fawn's best attempts to keep her out of trouble. She was loved by the herd, and watched by many of the stallions.

As Io grew older, she idolized her sister more and more. She wanted to be strong and reliable like her, not silly and rambunctious. She constantly tried to be like her, but as she failed she became unhappy. One day Fawn asked to talk to her in private, and the two sisters walked a little ways away from the herd.

"Why are you so unhappy, Io?" Fawn asked her, looking at her with concern. Io looked down, embarrassed.

"I want to be like you, but I can't. I don't know who I am anymore." She sighed. Fawn nuzzled her sister gently.

"Io, you are one of the most important horses in the herd, you bring light and happiness when times are dark." Fawn said gently, smiling. Io felt better. She finally knew who she was and her place in the herd.
