Likes: Lesley likes to feel like she belongs and other horses except her for who she is. She likes to know she has friends that care for her, or a stallion to love her. She likes to be up early, and to still be awake at midnight when the stars are out. Her love for the freedom she feels is deep, but strong as well. She likes to know she's a care free kind of mare who does not care whether it's snowing or raining.
Dislikes: Lesley dislikes stallions who think they have their way with her. She has a deep dislike for mud, hating how slick and wet it feels under her hooves. She dislikes humans, but not all are on her bad side. Lesley dislikes being told what to do, and the scent of humans.
Personality: Lesley is a strong, hot headed mare with a lot of spunk. She likes to have it her way, and will not take no for an answer. Her fiery spirit makes some shy away from her, but she does not mind that at all. A deep kindness lies within her, and she is always loving to yearlings and foals alike. Though wild with spirit, she has a deep calm side as well. She is also known for her sick humor and always tries to cheer everyone up.

History:
Young Lesley looked up into the sky and knew it was passed bed time. She wanted to stay up so she could watch the stars above. Another foal slept next to her, sleeping deeply. Her twin was not the one who staid up at late times. Lesley was always tired in the morning, but never showed it even know she knew her mother sensed her tiredness.
"Young one, get to sleep," Lesley's mother said softly. She smiled sleepily at the young foal and nudged her. "Your going to be tired if you don't close your eyes and sleep."
Lesley nodded and nestled more into her mothers warm side, breathing in her scent.
But this was the last night she would sleep with her mother. Fate would settle on the small family causing heart ache and bitter anger.
The next morning, dark clouds hung low in the chilly air. Lesley frowned up at the sky and turned to find her sister shivering from the cold.
"A blizzard is bound to brake out," Lesley's mother told the two. "We should find a place safe to keep warm and out of the snow."
And so the threesome started through the woods as it began to snow lightly. The wind was picking up now, making it colder and more bitter. Lesley followed her mother, scared of what would happen. She feared something bad would happen and tried to push back the thoughts swirling in her head like the snow that fell around them.
"In here young ones," Lesley's mother called out. She had to yell in order to be heard above the wind. "Hurry now."
Lesley and her sister scampered into the cover of a rock and a few bushes. They both huddled near one another, trying to keep each other warm. The cover was not big enough for a full grown horse, and Lesley hoped her mamma would be okay as the mare laid down half way out of the snow and tried to keep warm. Snow covered her thick coat and the wind bit at her weary face.
"Mamma, are you going to be okay?" Lesley asked in concern.
"Yes dear," The mare said tiredly.
Lesley dozed off and never knew what was happening around her. All she was thinking about was keeping warm and about her sister and mother. She was so dazed, she never realized she had fallen asleep.
Suddenly, the foal opened her eyes to see a thick blanket of sparkling snow on the ground. The sun was shining, and the day looked crisp and clean.
"Mamma wake up," Lesley's twin whimpered suddenly. "Wake up!"
Lesley's eyes shot to her mother. She was lying still, almost frozen on the ground. Snow covered her lower legs and her eyes were closed.
"M-Mamma?" Lesley choked out. She nudged her mother but the mare did not open her eyes...
An hour later, Lesley and her sister headed away from their mother's frozen body in search for a herd to keep them safe. Lesley was heart sick and could not help but feel alone.
This is how her journey started...
Three years later
Lesley pawed at the ground in anger. She was upset and the stallion in front of her was the reason for it. "You have no reason to to be here," She hissed.
"Oh, but I do mare," The stallion said narrowing his eyes at her. His face was rugged and harsh while his body had scars from battles. "Your as useful to me as your sister was."
Lesley stepped back, suddenly afraid. "What did you do to her?!"
"Don't worry mare. That wretched stallion saved her before I could have done anything."
Lesley let out a sigh of relief. The stallion whom had raised them after their mother had died had been the best thing that had happened to them.
"If there is a struggled," The stallion said walking towards her. "I will have to harm you. Understand?"
Lesley nodded in defeat and followed the stallion. There was a slight limp to his walk and his face was set in a scowl. He seemed serious, but his eyes held something else.
Lesley swallowed and looked behind her in nervousness. Her fear got the best of her and she hated that her body was shaking with utter fear of never seeing her adoptive family again.
After a long day of walking, the stallion stopped and turned to face her. "Don't even try to run, mare."
Days of abuse and fear consumed Lesley. She soon grew weak and tired. Her body ached, her legs were all scratched and bruised and her heart was broken. She willed herself to be strong and not to give up.
After a month in the stallions wretched hold, he went out in search for a new area. He left Lesley alone, but she was too tired to think about escaping. Her mind was in a daze and her stomach ached for good grass to graze on. She looked up at the sky as a flash of thunder lit up the sky before dropping her head...
The next morning, the stallion still was not back. Lesley was curious, and walked in the path the stallion took. She suddenly came across the stallion lying in a heap on the ground and inspected it. A smirk suddenly appeared on her lips when she realized the stallion who had captured her had gotten hit by lightning.
"Shame," Lesley said with sick humor. She eyed the stallion once more before trotting off.

Lesley was safe now, but three months later, her heart was healing slowly. She could never trust anyone again, even her sister.
"What is wrong with you?" Her sister asked as they grazed side by side. "You seem upset."
"Why wouldn't I be?" Lesley said with a hint of anger in her voice. "No one even seemed happy I was safe when I returned."
"They were, trust me."
But Lesley just ignored her sister. She wished someone would understand her, but no one did.
But Lesley soon met the oldest mare of the herd who treated everyone with kindness. Lesley talked to her and spilled out all of her fears. They became fast friends and she knew she could spill anything out to this mare who would listen with an open heart.
On a cold, bitter night, the old mare gave birth to a foal. She had struggled the whole time and Lesley staid by her side. A black colt was born and he melted her heart. His three white socks and moon shaped marking on his forehead was what made her heart sore with love as well as the small nicker he let out.
"Lesley," The old mare said weakly. "I want you to take care of him..."
Lesley took her eyes off the foal and turned her gaze the mare.
"Please..." The mare smiled weakly, before her breath faded into the night and her eyes closed...
For the next few weeks, Lesley took care of the foal who needed her. She was still mourning for the mare who had understood her, but knew the colt needed her more than her sadness.
Lesley let none of the other mares near her adoptive son, even her sister. Her heart was not about to lose the foal who stole her heart the moment he had nickered to her. She had lost her mother and her only friend and she was not going to let anyone hurt her again...
A month later
"Lesley, will you consider staying in the herd for good?"
Lesley gasped silently when she heard those words. Her eyes tore away from the tall black stallion whom she thought as a father.
"No. I-I can not."
"Lesley, please don't argue. I want you to stay in this herd as our family."
"It would never feel like family to me," Lesley snapped suddenly. She knew Esperanza and Strider cared about her like a mother and father, but her heart would nevr heal unless she left.
When the stars came out, Lesley took her colt and left. Her adoptive son came willingly, and would not move from her side. His gaze was tired, but he followed closely, eyeing the new surroundings with curiosity. By dawn, he wanted to explore, but was tired from the long walking they had done.
As Lesley laid down under an oak tree to get some rest, her boy laid down close to her and instantly fell asleep.
"Soon, we'll be safe little one," Lesley said softly.
Those were the last words she said before falling asleep as well...

Sorry for any typos. I don't feel like proof reading the bio at the moment.

Buckskinlover and Kody56: You both may make her a friend/crusher for
now. I am going to be picky about her crush/mate, but if a few members
ask I think I will chose her mate from the best bio and personality.
