Bio: Piano was born in the cimarron herd and grew up best friends with Spirit. One day, when Piano was three, his older brother, Harp, that he hadn't seen in months, rushed into the meadow Piano was grazing in, with human on his back. It turned out that Harp now belonged to the cavalry. The man on Harp's back saw the beautiful stallion and wanted him badly. He couldn't lasso the horse, so he pulled out his gun to injure him. Piano dodged to the left at the sound of the ringing bullet. Piano ran far into the forest, getting lost. As he wandered back to the herd, Piano wondered how Harp could let the man shoot at him. When he got back to the herd, Esperanza told Piano that Spirit had left during the night.  Weeks went by with no sign of Spirit and Piano forgot about him. That is until he saw the mare. Piano followed the little gray mare that he was smitten with into a little valley nestled between two mountains. Spirit called to his old friend, but was enraged when he saw that he was following his lead mare, Sprite. Spirit came at Piano with such speed he never knew what hit him. As Piano rolled to his feet, Spirit charged at him again. This time, Piano lashed out at him with his front hooves. After about an hour,Piano had won the fight, and stole the little gray mare from Spirit.
