History:
When Dream was little, her herd was very malnourished. They traveled looking for food many times. None was found. They traveled through the white snowy valleys and hills. The horses hooves were freezing more than ever, sinking in the snow. Dream's mother had found a nice cozy cave where no animal lived and she and the herd went to sleep. Though then thats when it all started. Dream's mother was giving birth to her first foal that she cherished so much, nothing held her back. When Dream's mother gave birth to her foal it was a blessing , but a curse to the herd. They had some hope for the herd's generation to survive on. Though it made more mouths to feed. Throughout the months the herd died out from starvation, attacks, and worst of all, humans. They had to travel on, so the two horses, the mother, and Dream lived and went on with their journey through the a freezing blizzard.
The horses finally found unclaimed land full of bright green grass and trees with very little snow from winter that had finished days ago. It was Spring in the area and the horses claimed the land as fast as possible. The horses started eating the lucious green grass and drank from the bright gleaming lake. It was all like heaven. Dream at her age was old enough to eat grass. On the third day the two horses were attacked by the worst thing, Colic. They ate so much it caused them to Colic. Yet did they know that cougars lived in the area. A lurking cougar came out attacking the two and killing them. They had no strength to fight them off with having Colic. They had the worst case of Colic, they werent going to make it anyway. The cougars ran and pounced with all effort, on to the horses. That then was the last of their lives. Dream and her mother mourned the death of the two horses that survived all this way to be killed. More of the cougar's clan arrived. They went after Dream and her mother. Eagle, Spirit's friend came and swooped down piercing the cougar's skin from the talons. Dream got away. Her mother was attacked right before the cougars retrieved. Eagle fought them off. After the cougars left, Eagle flew down by Dreams mother. Minutes later she died. Dream and Eagle mourned the breath taking death of the mother. Eagle had to lead Dream away. Eagle bought her to a new herd after traveling for a couple hours. This herd was wonderful! There was grass everywhere and many horses. Eagle led her through the crowd of horses to the herd leader. The herd leader was Thunder. Spirit's son. He accepted the hopeless foal in the herd. Thunder taught the foal how to live and be the leader of a herd through out the months. Dream was like a daughter to him. Dream grew older and older and was ready to live on her own. Dream left the gracious herd on the day she was ready. Leaving the herd was hard for the mare. Though it was all well for she could do so many other things. They would never be forgotton. The death that appeared through every corner and then light was brought into her life. She was loved and cared for. When she was walking off she saw the vision of her herd before her and the herd she had when her mother died. She saw them happy running through the open field and dissapearing through the wind. The wind blew through the trees and then blew through her beauitful mane as if they were saying a good bye. She closed her eyes and let the wind blow, sitting on the high hill she then relized the beauty she never saw.
