Nightmare: Obsidian Phantasm's mother. When he heard of her impressive infamy, he was dead set on finding her. Once he did, he was extrememly pleased. She was just like him, and he enjoyed being around her. When he learned of her goal of creating a line of "Alpha Horses," he was interested and joined her.

Bio-Shock: This is a mare Phantom recently met. He heard a commotion nearby, and knew it was two horses in battle - he wanted to jump in and kill the both of them. When he got there though, what he found was a flaxen liver chestnut mare, in a wild fit, and had she was the perpetrator of the kill. He fell head over hooves, and asked if she would join him on his travels.

Spirit: While staying with Spirit's herd in hopes of tracking down his mother, Obsidian killed one of Spirit's daughters as well as her foal.

Relation to Spirit:

After departing from his father, Flawed Design's herd, Obsidian Phantasm went out to find his mother. He followed her trail, soon to find that his mother was a feared murderer. He was increasingly proud of his heritage, the more he learned of her, and became increasingly determined to find her. He eventually found Spirit's herd, and told the stallion he was looking for the infamous herd. It didn't take Obsidian long to find out that Spirit hated the mare, and spun his story that he was looking for her for revenge as well. After some time, though, he found himself fancying a daughter of the stallion, and when Obsidian offered himself to the mare - knowing full well that she had a foal - she rejected him. Enraged, Obsidian Phantasm killed her and the foal. He was promptly chased out, and he plans to join his mother and attack Spirit's herd again some day, hopefully killing Rain and Spirit's other foals.

Personality:

Sadistic. Obsidian loves pain, to see others in pain, to cause pain... Just pain, physical and mental both. He has his father's manipulative abilities and his mother's drive and strength. He uses it to is advantage, hunting down his prey and killing. He doesn't always kill his target, but sometimes prefers to kill their loved ones, staging it in a way in which the unfortunate target feels as if they had a hand in it. When he feels he's waited long enough, then Obsidian strikes, engaging them and then reminding them that it's their fault their family has died, pushing the target over the edge. Only then will Obsidian kill them. He hates to see loving families, and when they're too cutesy and sweet, it makes him sick, so he just kills them. He's deathly determined, and will do anything it takes to get to his goal.

Unbeknownst to him, if faced with a fitting mare, he CAN fall in love. It's unlikely, but possible. He is capable in happiness, and can be very happy when he isn't thinking about killing, and usually is.

History:

Obsidian Phantasm was born to Nightmare and Flawed Design. He was fine-boned and not exactly large, and so the mare left him with his father. As he grew, though, he became very sadistic and cruel, taking after both parents. Design saw this, and trained him into a muscular, strong stallion, even though he never got very large.

Eventually, Obsidian learned of his mother, and left to find her. Along the way, we learned more and more about her infamy and trail of suffering, and grew proud of his mother, becoming more and more determined to find her. Eventually, he met Spirit, and found that his uncle was also looking for Nightmare. Obsidian spun his story as if he was also seeking revenge, and Spirit took the bait.

Obsidian was allowed to travel with Spirit's herd. Eventually, Obsidian's eye was caught by one of Spirit's daughters, who had a foal. He eventually offered himself to her, but she rejected him. Enraged, Obsidian killed her and her foal, only to be forced out of Spirit's herd.

Not too long afterwards, Obsidian ended up among another herd, in which he realized something: He wanted the lead mare. She was strong, and dominant, but she was the mate of the lead stallion, of course, who was a good many years older than her. She was clearly unhappy. But that wasn't why Obsidian wanted to free her. Rather, he just wanted to mate with her, to come back and retrieve his foal if he deamed it worth the effort. So he killed challenged the lead stallion, and was faced with his champion - the much stronger, younger stallion who also seemed to want the mare as well.

The fight was brutally cruel, and vicious. But before too long, Obsidian Phantasm came out victorious and went on to murder the old lead stallion. He took the mare and left a strong, cruel young stallion in his place, to hold the herd until he returned for his foal. He left the herd with his champion, and continued on his hunt.

Then he found her.

Obsidian found his mother. He found his sister and brother, who were just like himself and mother. He found out about his mother's Alpha Line, and immediately wanted to help.

He went on, off on his own to find mares to breed, knowing that since he was a stallion, he produced an excellent oppertunity for this line. He eventually came across a mare, however, who killed another horse in a fit of insanity. He watched her as she did so, and fell head over hooves. He was never the particularly affectionate type, but he stayed with her, inviting her to join him on his travels. Her name was Bio-shock.
