History of Stallions:

Koriander: Fleabitten Grey stallion, stole Riva from the Lakota Tribe when during a storm when she was trying to find her way back to the village. Riva was too young to bear foals at this time, and after being with Koriander's herd for a year was taken by another stallion.

Sampson: Young Chestnut Stallion that stole Riva from Koriander's herd. Short-tempered and rough. Mated with Riva when she was three.Riva and one other mare gave birth to Sampson's foals. (See Foals)

White Storm: Grey stallion with white socks. Stole Riva form Sampson's herd after Sampson was attacked by a mountain lion and was wounded. Also stole another mare and her foal (See Affiliations). Riva gave birth to his foal, Oak Eyes (See Foals). Riva Left White Storm's Herd after Oak Eyes died.

History:

Riva was born in the Lakota Village, during a thunderstorm in the Spring. Her mother had been captured while she was pregnant, and Riva grew up never knowing who her father was. Her mother died a few days after she was born, unable to recover from giving birth. So Riva was raised by the people of the Lakota Village, who nursed her as a filly and became her family. The children loved her for her gentle nature, and the young men of the tribe loved to ride her for her speed and competitive attitude. One day she wandered farther form the village then she had ever gone, and got lost when a sudden storm rolled in. Unable to find her way back in the rain, she was approached by an unfamiliar stallion. "Are you lost?" He asked, looking at her with narrow eyes. She nodded. "Do you know the way back to the Lakota Village?" She asked timidly. The Stallion blinked and motioned for her to follow him. They walked for what seemed like hours, until they had come to a small group of mares. The stallion turned to Riva.

"My name is Koriander. Wlecome to my Herd." Riva was too stunned to speak. She wanted to go home, but didn't know how, so she lived in Koriander's herd.

After living here for about a year, Riva was taken to another herd, this time one lead by a cruel stallion named Sampson. The following summer, Riva gave birth to his foal, who was stillborn. Riva was hopelessly sad and longed to return to her village, form which she had been taken almost two years ago. The fallowing Autumn, Sampson was injured by a mountain lion, and with relief Riva and another mare left his herd and joined a Stallion named White Storm. Riva gave birth to his foal, Oak Eyes, who sadly died when he was four months old from a sickness that took most of White Storm's Herd.

Finally, Riva left White Storm's herd as well, and left to find a mate or her village.

Affliation to Spirit: Was born and lived in the Lakota Village.
