Likes and Dislikes: Alice loves the smell of rain, the warmth of the sun, grazing under the shade  of a tree, and galloping. She dislikes snotty mares, untrustworthy stallions, tamed horses and the bitter cold.

Personality: Alice is a sweet shy mare. She often becomes moody but she is also crazy and high spirited. She has a fun side and an emotional side which stallions love. She can also become very stubborn at times and often has a rebel side which she uses when racing stallions.

History:

Alice was adventurous and crazy even as a young foal. Her mother was always worried or somewhat wished her daughter would have been like the other fillies. During her foal years, Alice would spend most of her time with her older half brother, Emmet. Together they would explore and often get themselves into trouble. The day Emmet left, Alice grew lonely. She missed her brother and wished he would have staid. Alice soon turned a year old and went out on her own for a few hours. She came back to the herd and ran into the new comer. He was her fathers new guard stallion, and Alice grew to dislike him. He always had his eyes on her and it really got on Alice's nerves. She liked to be independent. She hated when someone thought they could control her. A year later, Alice wanted to find her brother. She was upset that she had not heard from him in a year, and decided to set off that night. But the guard stallion still had his eyes on her. Alice decided she would teach him a lesson. The night soon settled and Alice made her get away. She galloped through the woods and was not surprised that the guard stallion followed her. She led him into the woods-that she knew really well-and soon lost him. Alice now started her journey. She traveled many miles before arriving at a village. Not sure what to do, she backed away. She caught sight of other horses and slowly walked up to them. Alice found out she was in the Lakota village. What surprised her was that the horses were very polite to her. She had never met such civilized horses in her two years. Alice decided she did not like her surroundings here and left. Days later she grew angry. Her brother said he would be near the Cimarron herd but further south. Why had she not found him yet? Alice finally caught her brothers scent, and followed it. 

"I knew you would come, Alice," a voice said behind her. Alice spun around, eyes wide.

 Emmet smiled down at his sister lovingly. "Welcome home sis." he led her into the herd lands and through the thick strand of trees. A clearing came into view, amazing Alice. She knew she would love it here. Especially since she was with her brother. Alice soon grew used to her new home. Emmet started to bring in mares for his growing herd. Alice grew to be friends with some of the mares. But something ached in her heart. She was now torn between staying with her brother, and going off to travel the west.....
