History:

During the time when spirit had gone, Chestnut was born. His mother taught him to always stay by her side and never stray away from the herd. He became unpopular with the rest of the foals for this, but Strider soon put those foals in their place. They became friends with him out of fear.

When spirit returned, Chestnut was merely a foal. He liked his new older brother, and played with him more often than he did with the foals. He didn't have to stick by his mother now, as spirit was not only a friend but also family. He was even respected every so often.

He soon grew up into a fine, strong stallion. He helped out young foals in danger, but would always be frustrated with them for not sticking with the herd.
