The wolves had attempted to attack Ava first, but her parents were protective of her and defended Ava from the wolves, but unfortunately her parents were outnumbered. Soon Ava watched in horror as the lifeless bodies of her parents fell to the ground. As Ava tried to Escape, the wolves had scratched her underbelly and Ava has had that scar ever since. In the beginning of her life, Ava was found and raised as a Lakota horse. But soon she had wandered off to far from the village and she was taken by the Calvary and lived there until she reached the age of 6, when a Stallion by the name of Spirit had freed her. As she was finally free, she didn’t really know how to fend for herself, she was raised in captivity after all. But she supposed she should find a herd to live in, but every herd she found had rejected her, and she became a loner. She was alone for a year until she met Ivon; a tall kind bayish stallion who lives in a bachelor herd. He was kind to her and Ava finally felt accepted, she fell in love and they soon became mates.
