History: Ciro was born about a year after his older half brother , Spirit. The young dunalino colt was very close to his brother. He was very spirited and wild just like his brother, he often followed his brother around getting into mischief together. Ciro always did whatever his brother did, Spirit would call him "shadow" because of it.
As Ciro grew he wanted to try and became more independant but was unsure how. As usual he would observe what Spirit would do, he often watched him leave the herd for extendend periods of time and eventually return. So Ciro, not knowing where he was going, decided to do the same. So he trotted off one day and just kept going till eventually he was lost, he attempted to go back the way he came but had gotten even more turned around. He kept walking hoping he may cross the herd till he ended up at the edge of the homelands and near the desert. Ciro looked around and called out to his herd, praying for a resonce. The normally happy go lucky stallion was now lost and all alone. His calls did not go unheard though, a young Rain was out with Little Creek on a ride when they heard Ciro's cries. For a while Ciro sat alone and scared when in the distance he could see a figure getting closer in the distance. He sprung up excited and reared up calling out to it, completly unaware that the figure may have been a danger. Thankfully it wasn't, and as Ciro watched the figure become clear he saw Rain. He was relieved to see another horse and galloped to her not even noticing Little Creek on her back. Ciro talked with Rain for a few moments as Little Creek cautiously slipped a rope around Ciro's neck. Ciro just looked at him confused and willingly followed Rain as Little Creek road back to the village.
Almost a year had passed since Ciro had been with the Lakota village. He felt very at home with them and had many friends. He would play with the Lakota children and let the ride and paint them, and he loved to go out into the field with Rain and the other horses. But one evening was different, the day started out the same till some of the villagers went out for a hunt. When they returned they were dragging a reluctant wild horse with them. Ciro and the others watched as the wild light red dun stallion fought the villagers and tried to get free from them. Ciro curiously walked over to the pen the stallion was being held in and watched him angerly gallop around in it. He was confused why the stallion was so angry and didn't want to be there, Ciro saw the village as a paradice but this stallion was acting like it was a hell. Like a child Ciro sat there and asked the stallion questions like "what was the stallions name, "where was he from", and "why was he so angry". The stallion looked at the simple minded Ciro confrused and said his name was "Amante" and began answering his questions.
After a couple of months Ciro and Amante became exremely close. Ciro was stuck to him like glue from day one, Amante was always looking out for Ciro. He was like Ciro's personal body gaurd, not that he needed one. Ciro would constantly play and tease with him trying to get him to play, Amante would play one in a while but the red dun was much more mellow then his hyper companion. One late evening Ciro and Amante waited for Rain and the others to return, from the hill they could see Rain and the others return with an extra being tugged along. Ciro couldnt believe his eyes, he looked at the dun stallion and knew right away that it was Spirit.
