Personality
Due to his hard past, Goldenfrost has turned meaner and meaner over the years. He was always mean, but he became nastier when he got blind in his left eye. He is what others would consider an evil horse.
History
Goldenfrost grew up in a lush green valley rich with water and vegetation. He was an annoying colt who liked to get into trouble. He would gallop around when his herd was resting and playfully nip the other horses. Most of the other horses disliked Goldenfrost and would try to lash out at him when he tried to nip them. But Goldenfrost found it fun and never stopped, no matter how much the other horses disliked him.
One day, Goldenfrost was taking a little adventure through a dark and mysterious forest when he ran into a lost filly about his same age. The filly was a stunning buckskin paint. Goldenfrost asked her who she was and the she introduced herself as Dipper. She said that her parents had been killed by a cougar and that she was looking for a family to take her in. Goldenfrost admired the young filly and offered for her to join his family. She happily agreed.
Dipper was accepted into Goldenfrost's family. The two foals bonded together quickly. One day, they went on a little adventure up a steep rocky bluff. They stopped when they came across an enormous bird nest with two large eggs in it. Goldenfrost was about to put a hoof in the nest when Dipper whinnied a warning.
"Goldenfrost!" Dipper cried. "Look out! There's danger above!"
Goldenfrost looked up and gasped. Two huge eagles swooped low over the nest. They were coming straight toward Goldenfrost. One eagle raked its talons across Goldenfrost's right shoulder, giving him three long wounds that would remain scars for life. Dipper urged Goldenfrost to come with her, and he followed. The two young horses never went back to that bluff again.
Goldenfrost and Dipper played in their favorite clearing from now on. One day, Goldenfrost confessed to Dipper that he had a crush on her. Dipper felt the same way. But when Goldenfrost turned four, he began to long for a mate. He asked Dipper to be his mate, but she said that she didn't want to be more than very close friends with Goldenfrost.
Another time, when Goldenfrost was four, a rival herd, called the Cimarron Herd, began a raid on Goldenfrost's herd. Goldenfrost wanted to fight the Cimarron Herd off but his parents wouldn't let him. Even though he was an adult horse, his parents were way too protective of him. Goldenfrost was angry, so he didn't listen to them. He fought the horses of the Cimarron herd, but he especially went for the leaders, Strider and Esperanza. He even tried to fight with his parents when they got angry with him. So, they kicked him out of his herd.
Goldenfrost traveled alone, looking for a herd that would accept him. On his travels, he came across a vicious cougar. The cougar gave him many scars and clawed him in his left eye, blinding him. It was hard for Goldenfrost to get used to having only one eye he could see with. As he was getting used to it, he grew meaner and meaner, all because of what had happened in his tragic life. He had had enough tragedy. And now that he was blind in one eye, he hated his life even more.
So Goldenfrost settled down in a beautiful clearing with a crystal clear pond and many kinds of trees. But one day, he saw a golden dun pinto stallion drinking from his pond. The stallion was known as Flaming Star, the son of Spirit and Rain. Goldenfrost tried to fight Flaming Star, but he was too tough for him. He lost the fight. The other time that Goldenfrost fought with Flaming Star was when he was trying to win the heart of a pretty mare named Signal. but Flaming Star saw what Goldenfrost was doing and fought him off. From that day on, Goldenfrost has tried to win the heart of another mare, named Weaver. He senses that Weaver has a similar past as him and a similar personality. But however hard he tries, Weaver will never fall for him.
