Personality:

Ladybird is a laid back, peaceful mare. She's very friendly towards other horses, and as a result she doesn't like confrontations. She'll often hold back rather than say what she really means, and this can make some horses very annoyed. Others, however, like her gentle kindness. She's patient and caring, and would make a superb mother if she ever has a foal of her own.

Butterflies, peace and quiet, beauty, Falling Snow, her parents

Fights, danger, being alone,

History:

Ladybird was born into a small herd of feral horses. Her father named her Ladybird because her spotted red pelt reminded him of the spotted beetles he often saw around their homelands. Since he was the escaped mount of a British Colonialist, he chose the European version of the name, arguing that bullies would shorten his daughter’s name to ‘Bug’ if he used the American name.

Ladybird grew up happily. Her parents were firm but fair, and she never had cause to turn vicious or aggressive. At about the age of 3 she left her father’s band of horses, seeking a home and a family for herself. Before long she met a small herd of mares travelling together, and joined them. A stunning leopard appaloosa mare named Chicka greeted her warmly, and the two became fast friends. Although it felt strange to Ladybird for a herd to be without a stallion for protection and breeding, she felt safe and happy with this band of mares, and quickly settled into life with them. Eventually they did find a stallion of their own; a handsome spotted bay named Falling Snow. Ladybird fell quickly in love with him, and when Chicka and her foal left the herd and Falling Snow decided to leave as well, Ladybird didn’t hesitate to follow him.
