Character Traits
Fear: Disappointment
Obsession: being right
Personality: Sabor is a very demanding stallion; he hates being overruled or being told what to do and if there is a point to be proven he is not far from verifying it. He loves being right and is often downhearted whenever he finds out he is the one who is wrong, alongside his hunger for winning he has an unquenchable desire for being the centre of attention which often makes him turn into an attention-seeking horse which everyone knows he hates being.
Sabor is a very passionate horse and puts all his heart into everything he does, whether its finding the perfect patch of grass to eat or saving the day he pours all his blood, sweat and tears into it. Some horses find him irritating and don’t like being around him when he gets into his zone because once his heart is set on something there is no stopping him. But in spite of all of that he can be a very sweet horse and when you mean something to him he will stick by you until the end. Making him a joy to be around.

History
Sabor was born into Spirits herd, but he didn’t have the same father as his brother and was younger so people overlooked him often. He was put down almost every day and being the younger of the two foals he was bullied by Spirit and his friends.
The only horse than managed to be nice to him was his mother and the two shared a very close bond, he wasn’t unpopular and he did have many friends but their presence was never comforting and he didn’t find value in spending his time with them so he would usually just stay with his mother or wander outside of the herd foolishly.
As he grew he became more firm on showing the horses of his herd what he did have to offer and his determination became well known throughout the herd. His problem wasn’t that he wasn’t liked it was that he felt not good enough and he soon enough became known as needy. His mother always explained he just wasn’t lucky enough because no matter what he tried the herd seemed to find some way to criticize his actions always leaving him deflated and miserable.
Until the day he finally decided to leave, of course his brother was overjoyed because he had always resented Sabor and the two were drifting further apart as they grew. Most of the herd didn’t care, a few of his ‘friends’ tried to convince him not to go but it was Esperanza who took it the hardest- although he promised to visit her often she didn’t want her baby to leave and she knew he wouldn’t last long by himself.
Despite all the unsupportive comments and remarks that had been made Sabor was strong and left his herd, he always felt that he might have been liked if it wasn’t for Spirit, he was older, stronger and better looking but his heart wasn’t in the right place. If Sabor had his chance from the beginning things could have been better for him and his thoughts were made facts when some of the mares visited him privately before he left saying they would miss him. This gave him courage that somewhere out there, there could be horses that might just accept him and as he wandered bravely he came across a small herd with horses that welcomed him in. Of course he wasn’t made lead Stallion but he was established as a part of their herd, he was loved and that’s all he ever wanted and although he missed his old herd he visited often. Trying to find a way to get back in, he even often asked Spirit for a place in their herd but Spirit scoffed, threatening to fight him if he tried again and would strut off proudly.
This behaviour toward Sabor wasn’t uncommon so he was unfazed by it, even finding it remotely funny that even after he had accepted defeat his brother still felt envy and jealousy toward him. His upbeat and determined personality made it easy to brush off his old herds feeling toward him. His future wouldn’t always be bright but he was determined to make the best of it.
Dedicated to my brother, I just wish you knew that there was other people to help you. I hope you found the peace you were searching for. RIP I miss you <3
