Biography
Aponi was, short time after Rain chose to leave with Spirit and be the lead mare of the Cimarron herd, Little Creek's second mare. But she had the need to go after her beloved sister and be wild. Her owner saw that and allowed her to go, even if this decision was heartbreaking.
Not long since then, the mare became a member of the herd and could run free with the others. But someday, when she was sleeping, some humans caught her and carried her to their stables, deciding to do the same thing they did to Spirit. Because of her wild attitude, it was hard even to keep her still, as being an active mare. Suddenly, in a night they forgot the pen they were keeping her open, and Aponi escaped.
Trying to get back to the herd, a hungry pack of wolves surrounded and attacked her. Fighting bravely, she could fend them off, but was fatally injured at the right back leg. Rain found her lying there the next morning and decided to settle with the herd in that place until her sister was healed.
After almost a month, when nobody tought Aponi will survive, she could get up and walk again. Since that, Rain and Spirit decided that the herd must make a ring when sleeping, Aponi being in the middle, so that nobody would attack again.
