Name: Denver
Age: 3 years +
Gender: Young Stallion
Breed: American Mustang
Pelt: Blood Bay Medicine Hat
Height: 16 hh
Personality: Denver is a rather monotone fellow at first glance. He's pretty much the cold shoulder type to new horses, not very talkative or easily impressed. Though he is a whole different stallion to those he knows well and has a strong bond with. Deep down he is a laid-back guy who likes to have just as much as the next. It just takes longer for one to bring that side out of him. Denver always takes any job seriously, he is highly trustworthy. His sister is he biggest weakness, he would go to the ends of the earth to protect her and keep her safe and happy. Denver is also respectable to older or more experienced horses, unless they are plain ignorant or vain.
Likes: Keeping his sister safe. Peace and quiet. Horses with good level heads on their shoulders. Thinking things through if he has the time. Mint leaves. The smell of pines. Smiling and laughing. (though he denys this frequently)
Dislikes: Harm coming to his sister. Ignorant fools. Arrogant stallions. Disrespect. His nightmares. Wolves. Wasps. Squirrels. (he finds them highly annoying x3)
Fears: Losing his sister. His nightmares. Wolves. (to a degree, he has nightmares about them)

Ida: "My younger sister. She means the world to me and I advise you not to get between me and her. Ever since... the accident I've taken care of her. I don't think I could live without her happy smile being with me every day. She's one of the few who can get my other guy to come around."
Biography: Born to a happy couple who were just starting their own herd, Denver had a relatively happy foalhood. Being their first born, he was showered with love and was a bit over protected at times, but he loved his parents dearly.
When he was a yearling his mother gave birth to a little filly. The trio couldn't be more happy about the new addition to their family. Little Ida brought a smile to their faces constantly with her spunky attitude and ever present smile. Denver prouded himself in being the best brother he could be, the two's bond growing day by day. Not long after Ida had been weaned tragedy struck the small family.
During the middle of a cold rainy October night Denver was woken up from his deep sleep. His mother held fear in her eyes as she watched her mate give strict yet loving intructions to their son. Denver was colt, wet, and confused, his father didn't make any sense at first, but then it finally sunk in. His parents were sacrificing themselves for him and his sister. His mother wept in his short mane as she held them close one last time.
Denver nuzzled close to Ida through the night, the horrifying sounds kept echoing through his mind, even long after they had stopped. The wails of so many wolves, the thudding of his parents hooves, the vicious snarling, endearing last calls between his parents... his head jerked up in alarm, eyes wide, a squeal of terror charging out of his mouth as a yellow eyed starving black wolf lept for him and his sister.... "Wake up Denver! I want to get to the river before sometime tomorrow!" Ida's voice jolted him awake. He took a deep breath and shook his head, eyes closed for a moment. He relived that dream so frequently that he knew exactly what would happen, but he couldn't stop it. No matter where or when the yellow eyed black wolf always found him and his sister.
All he can do now is live second by second, hour by hour, day by day.. making sure his little sister is always safe.
