History
Salt was born in a Nez Perce American Indian Tribe, at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. His was born on a misty morning, and his mother named him because his markings looked like salt in the morning fog. Ever since he was a colt, he enjoyed his small trips into the mountains with his mother. He loved climbing the steep rocks, even when he has small pouches roped onto his back. He eventually grew into a wonderful and strong horse used by the tribe to carry and transport items in the mountains. He lived a good life, without many troubles.
One winter day when he was on a trip in the mountains, an avalanche happened, and was separated from his group. He had gotten lost in the blizzard that followed, and had found himself to be utterly alone. He now spends the rest of his life in search of his tribe, in hopes of being with his mother once more; yet sometimes, he wishes he could also settle down with a pretty mare.
Then came along the bug of Salt's life, Cattle Chaser. Salt had found the younger horse in a canyon with a broken leg. Salt felt bad for the horse, and helped Cattle recover. As it turned out, Cattle idolized Salt and asked if he could stay with Salt. Salt wasn't in love with the idea, but desired the company. Little did he know what he was getting himself into...
Other
As far as mares/mates and a herd go; yes, it is open; but we must role play it. Depending on how it goes, if I like her, they may become mates, if not, well then, too bad.
Original pictures are Dreamwork's.
Salt meets Esperanza's herd and becomes fairly familiar with herd life quickly by becoming lead stallion of the herd after Spirit left, but chooses to return to the mountains not long before Spirit returns.

roleplay it out maybe? I don't wanna just mate him off and have that
be then end of it. Dakotah: Thanks, yeah I was still working on his current render when I uploaded the bio, although I hope the current picture is much better. Kaneq: Dawww, thanks |
