History:
History: Whiplash was the younger brother to AJ. He, like his brother was born into the Lakota village. Whiplash would be the curious colt he was and wander through the village to play with his brother, tribe children or even his best friend Rain. He met Rain when he was 3 months old, she was about the same age as well. The two were the best of friends before they even knew it. Whiplash and Rain would meet up with the Lakota children and get painted or have feathers stuck in their manes and tails. They did this very often, up until they were both yearlings.
When Rain and Whiplash grew into yearlings the two met two Lakota boys, one was called Little Creek. The two were bothe given a feather in their manes and Whiplash got yellow paint in a circle over his eye. The two best friends were happy with what they were given and were now truely part of the tribe. Later on that evening, Whiplash and Rain wandered over to Stark, Rain's half brother. Rain was excited to show him what she got and he seemed pretty proud of her. Whiplash showed him too, and again, Stark congratulated the pair.
Months went by and AJ had left the tribe in search of a mate. The three buddies watched as he wandered off into the distance. Stark, The youngest of the trio wasn't quite sure on why he was leaving, but he would know soon enough. Whiplash sighed as his brother disappeared and turned away and walked back towards the village.
Years later, Rain had met another stallion that had been brought into the tribe. Stark and Whiplash weren't to sure on the stallion and what his plans were, but Rain seemed to hang around him more than he half brother and Whiplash nowdays. Whiplash felt his heart crumble inside as he missed his best friend, and so did Stark miss his sister. Stark had now grown on Whiplas as a younger brother to himself as when Rain was out and about the two would hang about and do the things Rain and Whiplash used to as foals. He showed Stark how fun it was being around the Lakota children as their bond grew more and more.
One afternoon Rain had been shot by the Colonel. Whiplash and Stark were in shock and feared for her. The two helped bring her back along with Little Creek back to the tribe. Both Stark and Whiplash stayed by her side until she recovered from her wounds and would never be too far away, ever. Stark greived for his sister as he didn't want to lose her at any cost.
Weeks passed and Rain had fully recovered after many sleepless nights for Stark and Whiplash. They would both be too kind to her and fetch food, water and even blankets so she didn't have to get them herself. Moments later there was a whistle in the distance. Rain perked her ears and wandered through the smoke towards it. Whiplash could tell something was up and watched from a far along with Stark. It was Little Creek and the stallion, Spirit from months before. Whiplash snorted as he watched him run towards her in delight. His ears and emotion slowly drooped as the pair walked over to Little Creek. He held the mare's head in his hands as he pulled out her feather. Whiplash didn't quite see what had happened and Stark walked towards his sister as she was about to take off. She nuzzled him as he teared up and spoke to him. She teared up as well then she reared up and ran off into the distance. Whiplash hung his head low. She didn't even say goodbye to him, and seemed to not notice. He wandered towards Stark who ran over to Whiplash nuzzling his chest. He licked the colts forelock in his brotherly way as they both followed Little Creek back.
Little Creek placed Rain's feather on a small rock and continued walking. Whiplash stared down at the feather as he remembered when he got his own with Rain. He sighed and looked down sadly with a tear in his eye and looked to Stark. He grabbed the feather softly in his mouth and placed in softly in Stark's mane with a small smile. Stark looked back at him with a slight smile back as they both knew she would hopefully return someday.
Months later, Whiplash was wandering around the old tribe territory after it was burnt down. He would often visit by himself ever since Rain left as he liked to remember memories of his past. But today was different. Whiplash heard wolves in the distance as he turned his head he also heard a splash into the water. He galloped towards the sound as he heard a horse calling out stressfully. He ran towards the bank and saw a blue roan mare trapped in the currents. He didn't hesitate and jumped in after her. He swam his best towards her and nudged her side as the current rushed past the two. He helped her onto his back and looked around for and close by banks. There was a fallen tree over the river which lead to the bank. Seeing this he folded his ears back and kicked his back legs and front legs trying to fight the currents. The tree got closer and closer as he stretched out his neck and grabbed hold of the tree with his jaw. He kicked his legs again and pushed his side towards the tree making sure the mare could get across safely. Once the mare was across the bank Whiplash made his way there too. He walked into the bank as his legs shuddered and he panted. He looked to the mare with a small smile. "You alright?" He mentioned as he swallowed and stood up straight. (More will come.)
