History:
Rhona was born in the Lakota village. Growing up in the village was full of adventure for Rhona, who explored the every chance she got. At age two, Rhona was given to a Lakota boy. At first she liked her new owner, but he started to ignore her, for he had found a better war mount. Rhona tried to get him to see that she was a good mount too. But the boy just gave her one look, and went off to ride the other mare, who would tease her. Rhona, feeling neglected, sulked off. When Rhona was four years old, her Mother left to be with Spirit. Rhona was heart broken, and now felt she had no one in her life. But a man walked up to her one spring afternoon, and she nickered, hoping he would take her in. The mans name was Reno. He took Rhona into his care, and took care of her. Rhona was surprised that anyone would want her. She had been ignored in the past. She took well to her new owner, and was excited and full of energy when they went on rides. On a cool day, Reno took Rhona on a ride through the woods. It was early, and a fog still hung in the air. Rhona was at first calm, but the sounds echoing through the woods spooked her. Rhona took off at a full gallop, eyes wide with pure fear. Reno finally slowed her down. By then, she was out of breath, and her coat was lathered in sweat. Reno took the mare back to the village, where she calmed down. Rhona expected for Reno to be upset, but he just patted her neck reassuringly. Rhona sighed in content, and joined the other horses, whom were grazing near the village. Rhona took a deep breath of cool air, and smiled. This was home.
