History

It was so cold & bright! I looked around, taking a breath. My mother came into view. I stared for a moment, & tried to snuggle closer to her, but she pulled away, snapping her teeth dangerously close to my face. What was wrong with her, I didn't have a clue. I staggered to my hooves, swaying slightly, but not falling. She sighed & got to her hooves too. "Come along, Cisco." She said. Cisco? Who was Cisco? Only when she looked back & gave me a hard look did I relize I must be Cisco. I bounced forward, only to be shoved backwards. "Don't just go running off!" She yelled, rearing up & landing next to me. "Don't you know that there are dangerous creatures out there?!" She scolded. I flattend my ears & got back up, careful of what I did.

The next month or two was horrible. When she figured out I could not kill, or harm another creature, I was beaten on a regular basis. I was scared to fall asleep at night, fearing the next day. But I relized that I never became a ruthless killer like her, I am still gentle & kind. I will not become like her. One day, I woke uo, & she approached me in such a gentle manor, I thought she had changed. but I was very wrong. Another trick. As she kicked me & bit me, I pleaded "Momma, please Stop! It hurts!" She laughed & sneered, In a mocking tone,"Momma, It hurts! Stop!!" & beat me another 4 to 5 minutes. The scars on my body become more visible, ruining my beautiful pelt. I soon became 4 months old, & without thinking, I ran away. Of course, my mother found me & beat me. But I had a new realization. I was becoming stronger, & braver against my cruel mother.
