History:

 

 

History: Mirage was born into a small herd. her family could hardly survive a night, as most of the herd had left. When she grew into a young mare she had to leave the herd for her own good. She didn't want to leave her parents, but they told her it was for the best. Mirage could hardly keep her strength up. She collapsed in a small valley nearby an indian village. The next morning she woke up to see apples next to her. She stood up startled as she looked around to see a fence around her and a boy approaching.The boy's name was Little Creek, he had been looking after Mirage and brought her to the village. Puzzled, Mirage was not sure what to think of him, He was feeding her and caring for her, but why? 

A few weeks had passed and she became more friendly with the indian people. She was also allowed to stroll around during the day, but was put back into the yards at night. She began to meet all the indian horses, and became friends with a stallion named Storm. She didn't fall for him, as they both felt they had a great relationship as best friends. One day, The chief of the tribe was organising a breeding program with the horses. Storm was chosen as the stud stallion and he was to be bred with all the mares of the village, including Mirage. She hesitated to the idea, but she was forced to breed with him as they were both lead into her paddock. Storm didn't really ever forgive himself for it, although Mirage forgave him, as it wasn't his fault. She fell pregnant months later and was left in the paddock to make sure she was safe as well as her newborn. 

Months passed and soon enough, A small paint colt was born. Mirage was delighted to have her own son, and loved him to bits. Storm looked on as he watched his younger son take his first steps. The colt grew stronger and stronger as weeks passed, his name was Stark. Weeks later the village was attacked by white men on horses. Most of the horses fled, Mirage kept her son close but there was no luck as they were cornered by two men. Storm bolted past to distract the men and to keep Mirage and Stark safe. Mirage hid Stark away where only Storm and the indians would find him, as Mirage left the village, hoping one day she would see her son again. 

Months had passed and the mare was starting to lose her strenth again. One afternoon, Mirage was drinking water from a cool lake when suddenly she was being stalked by a cougar and soon enough she was attacked. All of a sudden a black stallion ran out to protect the mare against the beast. She thought it was Storm for a glimpse, but it wasn't. She watched as he rescued her and chased it off. He had saved her. The stallion took her in and helped her regain her health and strength back. Mirage couldn't be thankful enough to the stallion, whom was called Lucifer. She imediatley was lovestruck by him, and unknowingly so did he. The two eventually became mates and started to form a new herd of their own. 

Months later, new additions came into the herd, as Mirage gave birth to two young colts, Marty and Joe. One day, the herd was split up and chased. Most of the herd were either caught or disappeared off into the distance. Mirage paniced as she realised, Marty was missing. She became frantic as she didn't want to lose another son. Joe was in tears,  she nuzzled her son and comforted him. The herd was in deep shock of what had happened. Years had passed since Marty went missing, Joe had left the herd to find him. Lucifer doubted his son would not be found, as he didn't want to keep his hopes up and Mirage suffered her losses of losing all her sons. Weeks later Joe returned with good news, Marty had been found. Lucifer and Mirage could not believe it, Their long lost son had returned home. (To be continued. :3)
