History:
In a small village of Lakota, a young dun pinto mare was ready to have her very first foal. Like any new mother she was worried about the unborn foal. Thankfully her mate and her rider stood nearby cooing soft words of encouragement. By dawn's morning light a new life had made it into world. The colt was strong and healthy like any spring born foal. The colt was nearly white with only a few patches of color and striking mismatched eyes. Little creek his mother's rider knew right away what the colt was. He was prize of his own and a symbol of safety to the one who ride him. His mother gave him the name Fall while her rider gave him the name Red cloud. Having these different names never confused him for he was smart even with at his young age.
The colt grew quickly just as he learned about everything in the world. Life with his mother was just wonderful for him. Her loved spending his time learning from her. Sadly his happiness with his family would come crashing down. The colt had just turned into a yearling when the village was raided and everyone went running. Everything happened so fast that it was a blue to remember. The next thing he knew he was someplace new and fenced in. A boy stood at fence watching him and within the coming days he was given the name Domingo which fit him perfectly.
The boy was kind to him and Domingo grew to like him very much. He never thought that humans like the ones who had taken him away from his family. The boy spent hours on end talk with Domingo and teaching him things he had never seen. During the night when he is alone in the pen he would watch the stars missing his family and friends. A year passed him by and he had slowly forgotten many things about his old life and because of this he bonded with boy only to be sold by the boy's father to the Calvary. Domingo was hurt by this and before he could get to the fort. He got away from the men.
A Friend Named Image
At the age of 2 and half years old Domingo ran away from the Calvary men. He missed the boy but he also missed being able to run free which happened to be the only thing from his past he could remember. He spent days traveling without knowing where he was going soon though he came across a pale palomino colt who was a year or so older than him. At first he wasn't sure what to make of him but when he gave him a warm greeting Domingo came to like the colt. He learned that his name was Image and the two of them became good friends. They went everywhere together always sharing everything with on another leaving nothing unshared between each other. They were always doing everything together from playing to flirting with mares. The funny thing about the two of the colts is that they never really had any thoughts of starting a herd together even though it was clear the two of them loved chasing after mares. Along their travels they came across an Indian village.
Forgotten Home
The village itself was rather small but it was a happy and welcoming place though Image at first wasn't too sure about going down into the village. Domingo on the other hand was far more willing to see what was going on. He felt like he knew the place but he just couldn't place it. In this village Domingo met a man by the name of Little Creek and the man knew him. He didn't understand and became very confused. Even Image didn't know what to think of it all. An older mare though explained everything to Domingo who slowly gained his memories back. Image and Domingo stayed near the village learning and making new friends. Little Creek and a few of the children placed feathers into their manes and tails. Most of the feathers placed in Domingo's mane were a symbol of his returning home to the village. He never felt more at home then at this moment. One of the many friends he made in the village was a pinto mare who belonged to little creek. Her name was Rain and though he had become good friends with her. His friend seemed to have a crush on her which Domingo was happy for him. Both Image and Domingo choose to stay among the people in the village enjoying the simple things and for Domingo it was a pretty little mare.
A Lilly Among Roses
Domingo had turn 3 when he met the little chocolate palomino mare whom was a gentle soul who didn't have a bad bone in her body. To Domingo she was a lily stuck in a field of roses and like all the mare he met he would flirt with her often. The two had become friends rather easily and they would hang out with Rain and Image just enjoying their simple life there in the village. Domingo had slowly fallen love with her but kept it to himself for a long time until the day that Rain had left the village with Image's half brother buckskin stallion by the name of Spirit. Olive would have gone with her if it hadn't been for Image and Domingo. Soon though they would all leave the village when a messenger came with a message for Image.
