History: Rosa was born in spain, on a breeding farm off the west coast of Mijas. (say Mee-has) She was named Rosa because of her colour, rose like. Her father was a breeding stallion, and was unimpressed with Rosa, since he wanted a son. He beated her mother, and left her bleeding on the ground. Rosa was taken away from the breeding farm and sent on a ship to America.
Once they arrived, the men tried to pull Rosa out. She put up a fight, but because she was still a foal at the time, she was weak, and they managed (easily) to bring her off the ship and onto the slip. She was forced to walk miles and miles. She tripped over a few times. By the time she reached a massive fort, she had three scars on her flank, and three roundd the back of her left foreleg.
She grew up in the fort, which she learned it to be called the Cavalry Fort. She was one of the only females, and attracted attention from lots of stallions. Soon, a buckskin stallion was pulled in. The colonel's eyes widen, Rosa assumed this wasn't the stallions first time. The colonel broke him, and led him into the stable next to Rosa's. He told her how his mate was killed in a fire, and he was alone.
Rosa got to know the stallion a bit better. His name was Spirit, and they were both falling in love. Spirit asked Rosa to be his new mate, gladly, Rosa agreed. The first thing Spirit did was say that he did not want to be with her in the cavalry fort, so he looked around, finding a loose screw in the door. He kicked it sevral times, and when it opened, he set Rosa and all the other horses free. They galloped into the night, soldiers running after the horses swearing and shouting.
Spirit returned to the herd, and introduced Rosa to his mother, Esperanza. Rosa was kind to Esperanza, and the palamino mare immediately liked Rosa. Rosa lived with Spirit for two and a half years, until she caught him cheating on her. He was breeding with another mare from the herd. Rosa ran off crying, and never saw Spirit again... (Will update to my own story for her possibly, if it's okay with Amare.)
