History:
I remember the day i was born. It was a cloudy day. I opened my eyes and saw a black and white mare laying next to me. She looked like she was in pain . I raised my wobbly neck over and bumped her leg. her head shot up and her eyes filled with fright then love. She nuzzled me. "I do not know who you are yet. I shall name you later once i know you" We bonded and i had the name of "foal" for a week. The next day when i woke she smiled. "I have picked out a name for you. You shall no longer be 'foal' You shall be Ghazale, It means deer in my first language. " She nuzzled me and i picked my eats up and nibbled at her forelock. I smiled, "I like that name Moma"
The two of us did every thing together. i can still remember watching her drink and nuzzling her flank. She nicknamed me Dee which was short for Deer and most called me Deer not Ghazale. One day Moma told me about a stallion that had a black tail but a white mane. She said he had a red coat and scars. She nodded to the stallion in the ring. He was big with scars and black tail but a flaxen tail, and a red coat. I looked at her and she smiled.
"that is Battle Scars. Hes your father. I hope you two can be friends one day."
I walked out of out stall and walked over to the big stallion. I smiled and he smiled back.
"My name is Ghazale but please call me Deer. My mother is Neffie, your are my father she told me. "
"Ahh yes i am. I see she gave birth to a foal that is as beautiful as her."
We talked for some more then i went back to Moma. I smiled. "Hes nice. He has a harsh side to him though." That night i feel asleep fast. I drempt of my Dad and Moma. I thought that Dad was cool. He wasnt the best horse but neither was I. I think that title belongs to Moma.
I kept growing strong and fast. I was almost as tall as Moma's shoulder when i couldent drink her sweet milk. I had to eat the dry crunch stuff they called hay. I was mad at first and they put me in the same pen as Dad. I went up to him and we bonded then. By the time i came out at the night i had memorized how he got each and every scar. I smiled. But when i looked over and around the stall i saw my mothers on the other side. This stall was bigger. i nosed around before nickering to my Mother. She nickered back for a while. We talked that night over the big pen.
I missed my mother warm heat in the night. Now i was put in a big empty stall. Dad said this was the stall for the most promising weanling. I was proud at that but i wanted to go back with Moma.
