The Calvary - Work horse

The Cimarron - was sent by spirit to protect the herd.

Peronality: Crafty, Dasher is very quick witted.He is rowdy and reckless, showing no fear at all when faced with dire situations. Although seemingly fearless and brazen, he is really a compassionate stallion who can easily understand and empathize. As Qiuck witted as Dasher may be he can often be dense. He is often closed minded and needs to be reasoned with in order for him to see Eye to eye with a difference in opinion. He as a hard time reconizing his size, growing up around non-drafts other than his family he has taken notice of his actual size or power, this being said he isn't as gentle with this movements and may seem gumpy at times. His movements and actions do not portray his personality however emotionally. Emotionaly he can be very gentle and timid almost. he is a born protector.

Likes: playing aorund acting goofy, making others smile. colder weather, rolling around in water or snow. swimming. kicking down small dead trees or playing with logs.

Dislikes: how his siblings find him imature. having ot be to serious. being alone or feeling left out.

History

Dasher was born intot he calvary to two breeding drafts, whom where to produce work horses for states with harsher weather and colder temperatres. He had many siblings yet still grew up around regular horses. He was never content with the life of a calvary horses, he would often gaze out upon the open land and dream of what it would be like to be wild. His sisters told him it was a foolish idea, but he still never let it go. One day he caught a filly outside of the base making eyes at him, she was a lovely little walkaloosa. Dasher would sneek out to meet her quiet often. he was falling head over hills for her, but one day she just disappeared.

Dasher would dream of seeing her again, this little Whinnie as her name was. As fate would have it, when a bucksin stallion was brought into the calvary, and given the Post treatment, Dasher broke loose to talk to him. the two became friends. Spirit said that Dasher had the heart of a wild horse, he told him that he was impressed by Dasher, and that when he broke free, he's be willing to take Dasher to his homelands. However it didn't quiet work that way. Spirit did break free and let loose Dasher and his whole family, but Spirit was caught by Indains shortly after. Dasher went bakc to him, but Spirit told him to stay away not wanting him to be caught like he was. Spirit asked Dasher to go to the Cimarron, and watch over his herd for him, to protect it until he returned. Dasher hated having to leave his friend behind but he did as told and headed to the Cimarron with all of his siblings. 

At the Cimarron herd, The arrival of a group of Drafts scared Esperanza at first, but when Dasher explained that he knew Spirit and that SPirit has sent him to keep her and the herd safe. She felt better. He and his siblings fit into the herd well. and were generally excepted into the herd. To Dashers suprise, Whinnie the filly whom had taken his heart and then myteriously vanished had appeared into the the lands, she wasn't there to stay she just needed a safe place. His brothers warned him not to get to close to her. they saw she was trouble. But Dasher was young and in love and blind to who she really was. Whinnie used Dasher for protection while she was in the herd, and coninced him to leave the herd and wander with her, His siblings wouldn't let him go alone so they left as well, but his two sisters stayed in the herd because Dasher did not want to leave Spirits family un protected until he returned.

While roaming in the wild with Whinnie Dasher saw her flirting with other rouge stallions and even a few of his brothers, whom didn't like her at all. He comfornted her, and confessed his feelings. Whinnie laughed at him. and said that she was only using them for safty. Dasher felt like a fool and was heartbroken, he went back to the cimmaron to continue his promise to Spirit. When Spirit returned Dasher and his brothers wandered off to be wanders on thier own. His sisters stayed in the herd.

While wandering Dasher ran into a Filly whom had had remembered from the Cimarron herd, Calandra. He remembered she was just a yearling when he last saw her. She was weiry when he came around, but soon relized who he was, He asked if he and his brothers would travel along with her. Calandra wasn't sure, but they did offer up great protection. Dasher gave her some space, he traveled with his brothers slightly behind her routes, to make sure she was safe. eventually seeing it as pointless to not travel with him while they were following her anyway, Calandra allowed Dasher and his brothers to travel with her. During this time Dasher would tr to show off, and do suprise gestures for Calandra trying to impress her.
