History:

Her mother died as she was born.  Her Father tried to kill her because she killed ehr mother.  She stared at him then sniffled.  He lunghed at her and she ran away on her wobbly legs.  A mare found her.  She was a strong mare with a jagged cut along her face. She smiled up at the mare.  The mare nuzzled her nose.  "Please come with me.  Well keep each other safe" Charcoal walked after the mare.  Her legs growing tired. The mare stoped and walked into a cave.  She looked at Charcoal.  "My names  Ripple  because i  was found near a pond." 

"Im Charcoal" Came her small voice

"Nice to meet you.  You want to know where i got this cut?"

Charcoal nodded. 

" I got it from a man.  He had a long sword.  He also had a dagger,  an indian dagger,  with his bloody hand he cut my face.  and said 'Ill reconigize you now mare'  Then he slapped my rump. I ran.  then i found you"

She smiled at Charcoal.  Charcoal walked over to her and snuggles next to her.  "Your nice" She smiled "Most horses dont think so" Charcoal's eyes fluttered shut. 

   As Charcoal grew her and Ripple into a Mother and Daughter.  When Coal was a yearling she parted from Ripple.  She herd that Ripple found a stallion named Nine Eleven.   She ventured along a river.   One day she came to a small Village.  It was called the Lakota Village.  A small child ran up to her.  She spooked and leapt aside. The childed looked up at ther and cried.  She was again spooked at the sound.  A man and a woman came to get the child.  The man tossed a rope around her neck and took her to a pen.  

   The next day he tried to tame her.  She spooked and kicked him.  All day that day he tried to tame her,  he failed that day.  This went up for a few months.  She wasnt let out of the pen unless it was to get water.   One day when she was two she had enough.  She ran away from the village. 

   When she ran she came apon a cougar.  She spooked and kicked at its head.  The cougar fell limp,  She ran hard for about 4 hours.  When she came to a pond she slept.  She looked around it.  She remembered how Ripple discribed the pond where she got her scar.  This was the pond. She got up and left because of the bad memories that the man left here.  She walked that night into a cave.  She fell asleep and woke up in the mornining to the sun in her eyes. 

   She contunied on her jernouy.  She came to the Cimarron Herd.  She talked with the Lead stallion and Lead mare.  She was let in the herd.  She was a shy mare but to stallions came her way.  She Talked to them and learned that the liver chestnut paint was named Hellboy and the faded bay paint was named Red Eye.  She had a small crush on Hellboy.
