History
As a Foal
Mocha was born in the spring on a small farm. She didn’t have any sibling or half siblings, and she was the only foal on the farm, so she spent most of her foal hood alone, entertaining herself. She never knew her father, and her mother didn’t really care much for her, so she had to learn to look after herself at a very young age.
As a Teen
At the age of 1 and a half Mocha was taken off the farm by animal rescue services. By then the farm had gone broke and all the horses were underfed. Mocha was the worst though, she hadn’t had her mother’s milk as a foal, and now she was in extremely bad condition. The animal rescue services gave her all the medical attention she needed and before long she was back in good shape. She was adopted by a young girl and her mother and taken to a lovely little farm.
As an Adult
Soon the little girl grew up and lost interest in Mocha. Mocha was put into a paddock and left there. Nobody came to see Mocha for months and months, accept to make sure she had water. She began to get lonely and sad.
One freezing cold night in winter Mocha was standing in the corner of her paddock like always. She had no rug and no shelter and it had just started snowing. Mocha looked over her fence into the hills and let out a depressed whinny. About 15 minutes later Mocha had realized that no one was going to help her, when out of the trees came a ghostly palomino stallion. She is still unsure how, but he helped her out of her paddock and they disappeared into the mountains together. The stallions name was Delka, and he took Mocha into the forest and to his herd. It was warm in the clearing, surrounded by trees growing close together. Mocha was welcomed into the herd and became one of Delka’s mares. After that she was never hungry, cold or alone again.
