Samba, the Cimarron's Dancer

A kind-hearted young mare with a fighting spirit. Born from the lead mare, Nara when the full moon was high in the dark sky. Only a few shor minutes after Samba learned to stand on her long and thin legs, she seemed to dance in a trot next to her mother's side. As if she was dancing for the new life she breathed.

Samba had a good life as she grew, and at just turning the age of a young mare, she was ready to become serious as an important part of the herd. Only, not long afterwards, a small band of horse wranglers came and seperated the heard unitl it was just her and a younger cold running from them. After coaxing the colt into hiding in a shrub, Samba used herself to get the following wrangler away from the colt. She was unable to escape him, but she was more thankful to know it was just her that was being taken.

When she arrived at their cabin and she was placed into a stall, she realized she was not alone, but the stallion named Gunner refused to even look at her and was often hostel towards her. Each day, they would wittness each other break little by little from being saddled and mounted by the men. Samba's wild heart kept fighting everyday, unwilling to let the humans win. Seeing a man harshly handle Gunner one day, hearing his cries caused her to break the latch from her stall door and cause the man to stop by bumping her shoulder into his chest and he fell backwards on the ground. Samba half reared and firmly struck her hooves by his head.

Gunner and Samba may have disliked one another, but they kept watch over each other. Samba left the man unharmed, but her training became more rash.
