History
Gunner, the Cimarron's Rogue
Born as a weak foal and often cast aside from the other's in the herd, his mother was the only one to keep him safe. When Gunner grew old enough, he became a loner and is cold towards others. He prefers to keep away from other herds, but if times he could not avoid fights with other stallions, he would defend himself and he sometimes cannot avoid situations that only one stallion is left alive.
Later in his young years, horse wranglers do manage to capture him but he didn't go without a fight. Along the way, he falls into an area full of shrubs that had large hitchhiker stickers that tangled into his mane and tail. Unable to pluck them from him, they decided to cut Gunner's mane and tail until there were no more sticker plants.
Not too long afterwards, comes along Samba. Gunner and her spend their time in seperate stalls and each day, they would wittness each other break little by little each day from being saddled and mounted by the men. Gunner never gave up, but one wrangler had enough of Gunner's stubbornness. For a moment, Gunner had to suffer the man's beatings of the whip until Samba broke free of her stall and caught the man off guard and bumped her shoulder roughly into his chest and planted her hooves firmly next to his face after he fell.
Gunner and Samba may have disliked one another, but they kept watch over each other. The man never touched Gunner afterwards, but Samba's training continued.
Through thick and thin, Samba and Gunner managed to earn their freedom once more, and their feelings for one another grew.
